Esme looked at him, and he shook his head, to which she whipped her head back to the scene unfolding before them, her eyes darkening. Damon didn't like the exchange, but before he could ask Gabriel, Esme put her hand over his mouth again, making him nervous at what he was about to see.
Cassius bit into his forearm, and Aila clenched her eyes shut, swallowing loudly before opening them again; her eyes shone, and her lips parted slightly. Cassius reached for her waist and pulled her back into him, putting his forearm just before her lips. Aila inhaled sharply and instantly grabbed onto his arm and wildly bit into it, her eyes shutting with a slight moan leaving her lips.
