"Isn't the garden good enough?" Roy raised his head, gazing into her ice-blue eyes that were no longer as clear as before. In the lamplight, he could clearly see his reflection in those eyes. He liked it, liked having himself in her eyes, and even more, he liked how her clarity was disturbed because of him.
He pulled her up from the bench, intending to go into the house.
How could Laila not know what he was thinking at this moment? Feeling both embarrassed and annoyed, she forcefully withdrew her body, not letting him take her back. Joking! The whole family is there now. Once she is hastily dragged upstairs by Roy, even a fool would know what they are up to. Just because she has been in the West for so many years doesn't mean she dares to go upstairs and roll in bed with a man in front of her whole family!
"Aren't you curious if I have any issues?" Roy completely ignored her refusal, directly lifting her around the waist. Where could she escape to in his arms?
Laila caught off guard, was lifted right side up. Startled, she quickly reached out to hold onto his neck. "No, really, not today!"
Roy paid no attention to her struggles; at this moment, he felt like he was about to burst open, and all the blood in his body was clamoring. He wanted her, never so urgently before!
"Roy!" Laila, seeing that he was about to carry her into the main house, blushed so much that blood was almost dripping out of her face. "I have my period today, so it's really not possible."
Roy, about to step through the front door, widened his eyes, hesitated for a few seconds, finally put her down, and then squatted down in frustration.
"I'm going to go crazy sooner or later."
Laila knew she shouldn't laugh at this moment, but the more she tried to hold back, the more she wanted to laugh, so she burst into laughter.
"Don't be like this." She rubbed his hair, letting her fingers run through his silky hair. He now looked like an abandoned little puppy, making her feel a lot of guilt.
But today's matter was really funny; she felt like she could laugh about it for a lifetime.
Seemingly hearing laughter from outside, little William, with his two short legs, wobbled out. "Sister, what are you laughing at?"
Laila laughed as she picked him up. "Laughing at an abandoned little wolf puppy."
"Puppy!" Little William twisted his neck around, turning in circles but couldn't see the wolf puppy she mentioned. "Where?"
Laila glanced at Roy, still squatting on the ground, looking despondent. This look of despair made her burst into laughter again. "Probably ran away."
Little William thought she was serious, unfortunately, looked around the garden in the night, "Puppy, like."
"Oh? William likes puppies? How about sister getting a puppy for William?"
"Good! Big puppy!"
Janet, who had just walked out of the house at this time, saw Roy's expression and posture first. After being stunned for a moment, she guiltily took William back into her arms. "William is too small. When he grows up a bit, I plan to get him a Pony. Dogs are a bit scary."
"No! Want a puppy!" William protested with his little fists.
Janet didn't dislike cats and dogs, but only if they belonged to other people. Ever since her previous works were marked with many paw prints by a stray cat, she never thought of keeping these things at home.
"Do you not want a Pony anymore?"
"Pony, want!"
"Then you can't have a puppy."
"Both want!"
"Dream on! Only one choice!"
"Both want!"
"The world is cruel; you can't have both fish and bear's paw. So you can only choose one!" Janet instilled the truth of the world into her son while walking back into the house. Laila looked at Roy still squatting on the ground. "Still not getting up? Do I need to give you a broken bowl for begging?"
Roy didn't speak but raised one hand, indicating for her to pull him up. However, he didn't seem satisfied with just standing up; he took the opportunity to embrace her.
It seemed like he was struck hard; Laila patted him on the back in consolation, feeling a bit guilty. But this was also inevitable, right?
But in the next moment, Roy's words made her throw away all the guilt.
He said, "What day is it today?"
"..." Laila directly pushed him away, her face turning red as she walked back into the house. She didn't believe he dared to touch her in front of her grandparents.
Roy looked at her annoyed and embarrassed expression, a faint smile appearing at the corner of his mouth. Waiting for a few years is nothing, does it matter if he waits a few more days?
The next day, Laila woke up from a dream under the call of her biological clock. Lazily wanting to lie in bed for a while longer, she found an envelope standing on the cabinet by the bed, placed on top of the breakfast tray.
Knowing that only Roy would bring breakfast so early, although he didn't bring it every day when he was at home, he would usually bring it into her room himself.
She curiously opened the envelope, finding an invitation to vacation inside, with various arrangements listed. A five-star hotel, hot springs, skiing, the world's sexiest boyfriend accompanying 24 hours a day, and so on.
Laila couldn't bear to look at it anymore. She really didn't know how thick-skinned Roy had to be to put this invitation in front of her. All his thoughts were revealed on it, right?
Laila put down the invitation, pressing her hands against her cheeks, as if doing so could cool down the heat on her face a bit. After reading the invitation, she probably wouldn't be able to face Roy directly. That guy is really...
Knock on the door, then Roy's head peeked in from outside. Seeing that there was the invitation on the tray in front of her, he instantly burst into a brilliant smile.
"Good morning, dear." He walked to the side of the bed and kissed her on the cheek.
"Good morning." Laila really didn't want to see him smiling like a fool. Where is the world's sexiest boyfriend? She only saw a foolish guy.
Roy picked up the invitation and handed it to her. "Let's go together."
Not knowing if there was something wrong with her ears, Laila felt that his voice at this moment was particularly magnetic and sexy. It seemed like hormones were spreading out with his voice. As a person who appreciates both looks and voice, facing that face and that voice, the determination to refuse that she had just gathered dissipated immediately.
"Laila~~" Seeing that she didn't say anything, Roy called her name. A name was pulled and twisted into nine bends and eighteen turns by his voice. Probably no woman with strong willpower could resist such a voice.
At least Laila was defeated. Being called by him like that, in a daze, she nodded, "Um..."
"Fantastic!" Roy clapped his hands and jumped up. "Believe me, you won't be disappointed with this holiday!"
