Chapter 300 - Chapter 300: Global Attention 2

Not only at the venue but also at the same time, countless large screens on bustling streets, including Times Square, broadcasted the ongoing performance live.

Victoria's Secret angels officially appeared before the world today, and Roy's singing, along with the angels, became the most prominent focus in the world right now!

The time of a single song lasted just over three minutes, but for Laila, it felt like an entire century had passed. From the initial nervousness to relaxation, then to excitement, and finally, the joy of success gradually faded away, leaving her with a calm demeanor.

Watching the ecstatic crowd around her, she stood up and said, "Let's go back."

She didn't care if her voice was drowned out by the surrounding screams as soon as she spoke; she had already turned and headed towards the exit.

At the same time, several figures around her had already followed, immediately protecting her and guiding her to the parking lot.

Even as she left Qualcomm Stadium, the echoes of the song and the cheers of the audience seemed to linger in her ears. A sense of achievement welled up within her, causing her to squint her eyes. Her mind and body were immersed in a strange state, a mixture of excitement and calmness that she couldn't quite comprehend.

She knew she should be excited because she had created a business miracle, a brilliant page in the history of planning. Without a doubt, even decades later, what she had done today would be celebrated as one of the most commendable cases of commercial success in history.

Yet her true feelings were strangely calm as if everything she had just done was insignificant.

Upon reflection, it seemed to be true. She wasn't the struggling person from her past life anymore. With the funds she had at her disposal, she could support any incredible plan she wanted. With Roy's fame and the Victoria's Secret brand, there was no way they would have had a halftime show opportunity, even if they waited a hundred years. Laila and the organizers had made a wager: if Roy's performance failed, Laila would compensate the organizers ten times their losses, along with investing twice as much in advertising during the Super Bowl as any other advertiser in the next ten years. It was a crazy move, and if she had truly failed, the amount of money she would have lost would have been staggering.

But she had gone through with it because, based on the rehearsals she had seen, she believed there was at least an 80% chance of success. For a businessperson, an 80% success rate was already very high. Most investments, let alone 80%, would make people take a chance, considering the astonishing returns if successful.

The screens in Times Square, along with the large screens on other bustling streets, and various means of promotion that could appear before the public, all broadcasted the performance simultaneously. Coupled with the viewers watching the Super Bowl through live broadcasts and broadcasts, at least a billion people worldwide would have witnessed it.

This was a terrifying number, and even if only one-tenth of those people knew the name Victoria's Secret or who Roy was, it would still be a success for this plan.

Laila returned home calmly, took out the script for her new movie, and focused her entire being on the plot, visualizing the final form of the script in her mind. She did this to determine where any discrepancies might lie and where improvements could be made.

She was too calm, to the point where Claire even thought she had received some sort of setback. Claire knew why she had left the house, and now she was back much earlier than expected, wearing a calm expression. It was hard to believe that she had just accomplished something world-shaking.

So Claire assumed that she must have failed. In her current state of disappointment, Claire thought it would be better to cheer her up by preparing some of her favorite dishes.

However, she didn't know what had transpired at the Super Bowl just now, nor did she realize that, because of Laila, the effects of the halftime show were still reverberating.

The first to feel the shock were the CEOs of many companies who had been closely following Victoria's Secret's ambitious plans. While the details of Victoria's Secret's actions during the Super Bowl were kept relatively secret to maximize their impact, many people knew that the company was planning something significant for the event.

They had speculated on what Laila might do during the game, but even the most imaginative ones had only thought she might run a Victoria's Secret ad during the game. It wasn't until they saw the final scene of the halftime show on TV that they realized how crazy that young girl was.

Who could have expected that Victoria's Secret models would strut on stage in such a stunning manner, captivating the entire audience? Who could have predicted that simply adding a pair of wings would exponentially increase the charm of those lovely and stunning women? Who could have imagined that Laila would find a song that made people want to listen to it over and over again?

For those watching the Super Bowl, the number of CEOs knew how many there were. Otherwise, they wouldn't be willing to spend millions to tens of millions of dollars each year to buy advertisements. But the halftime show! It took someone exceptionally crazy to come up with such a plan!

Unfortunately, no matter how much they scolded their subordinates or how they thought about it, they couldn't find an answer to the question: Why could that girl come up with a plan that none of them could think of?

Some people wanted to replicate Laila's approach, but no matter how they calculated it, they found that they couldn't possibly achieve the same thing. Firstly, could their brand's lingerie have the same effect as Victoria's Secret's? You had to remember that the first appearance of the "Victoria's Secret Angels" had already attracted too much attention. If they tried to replicate the effect, with "Perfume Angels"? "Handbag Angels"? "Appliance Angels"? "Car Angels"? It was likely they wouldn't even get a chance to step onto the stage. The organizers would never allow their grand event to become a laughingstock!

And then there was the song. A song where luck played a significant role, and if it weren't for extraordinary luck, how could they casually come across it? Not to mention that it would make the audience remember it.

In short, attempting to replicate Laila's success was a hopeless endeavor. Even if they tried, they would only end up embarrassing themselves.
