Laila, how could she not know?
"If he doesn't change his impulsive and quick-to-fight nature, I'm afraid one day it will get out of control. Last time, he and Robert Downey Jr. fought until they were taken to the police station. You're not unaware of how long it took to suppress that incident. This time, it's even worse – he directly attacked a prince."
Demi seemed to have a sudden realization and burst into laughter, "Boss, you know he's impulsive like that, yet you let him learn martial arts. Aren't you afraid he'll escalate things further?"
Laila paused for a moment, apparently just now realizing this. But what could she say now? She could only smile wryly, "Let him do whatever he wants. If he can survive a fight, that's fine."
"What?" Demi was shocked. Could the boss really think like that?
Of course, Laila was joking. She had him learn martial arts moves in preparation for the big production planned for the next year. She only wanted to ensure his rapid rise to fame, not expecting him to excel at starting trouble.
Demi, however, wasn't aware of her true intentions and thought the boss was being serious. She joined in with a sigh, thinking about the poor decision-making of her boss. In her eyes, it seemed that having a slightly foolish secretary might not be a bad thing; at least, it could lighten the boss's mood in times of trouble.
But what Laila didn't know was that what she thought was already resolved was far from over. Firstly, the incident of the bodyguards pointing guns at her was something Linda wouldn't hide; she had to report it to higher-ups immediately.
Even if it didn't lead to a disaster, the negative impact was already clear. Everyone on the island was a prominent figure who highly valued their safety. Who could tolerate being threatened with dozens of guns by the other party for no reason? Anyone who could come to this place surely had several bodyguards accompanying them.
The people from AmEx took action immediately upon learning of the prince's bodyguards brandishing guns. They tried to soothe Laila on one side while warning the prince on the other side. Either he should dismiss his bodyguards or temporarily hand over the firearms.
Finally, after negotiations, the bodyguards swore they would never draw their guns so easily again. This marked the end of the matter.
Laila wasn't polite to the AmEx people. She unreservedly accepted their apology and even secured some privileges in the process. Of course, the AmEx people wished she had asked for more; that way, they could bind her even tighter to their side and prevent her from running to their competitors.
Mr. Moran and Janet also learned about this incident not long after. Their initial indignation was set aside temporarily due to Laila's efforts to calm things down. However, they were not without a reaction. In the days that followed, they sent eight bodyguards to accompany her...
On that night, Al Nadeem was taken aside by his steward to be scolded. Of course, the issue of the bodyguards wasn't discussed; in his opinion, those bodyguards weren't wrong. They just didn't consider the circumstances well.
What he wanted to discuss with the prince was his "gynophobia". The way Laila questioned him had left him embarrassed, and he had almost wanted to find a well to jump into.
"Your Highness, perhaps your gynophobia isn't real? Otherwise, why could you converse normally with Miss Moran?" The question left him wide-eyed. Indeed, why didn't he notice that Laila was a woman back then?
He looked at his hands in astonishment, "Did I actually touch her?"
"Yes, you did."
"But why didn't I break out in rashes? I didn't feel like running away or screaming, nor did I have the urge to hide?"
The steward sighed, "This question perhaps only you can answer."
Al Nadeem furrowed his brows, thinking for a while before his eyes widened, "Could it be that she's actually a man?"
The steward's lips twitched, "That distinguished young lady possesses a very feminine body!" He emphasized the word 'feminine' in an attempt to remind his poor master that she was wearing a bikini at the time. If she were a man, it would have been obvious at a glance.
Al Nadeem pursed his lips, "So what? When we went to Thailand, didn't we see many men who had become women? And American medical techniques are advanced; it shouldn't be difficult to undergo a sex change, right?"
"Your Highness, please don't say this outside!" The steward felt a headache coming on. If these words were to spread, be prepared for a media war with the Moran Group! They would surely make their lives miserable!
"In Thailand, those people resorted to that means for survival due to poverty. Miss Moran comes from a prestigious family; she has much more money and resources than you. She is one of only three direct members of the Moran family. From the moment she was born, it was clear that she was a woman!" The steward didn't want to continue discussing such an absurd topic with him.
"Today's matter, I will report in full detail to His Royal Highness. I hope you can reflect on your rudeness today and better personally apologize to that young lady tomorrow. If His Royal Highness is angry, you know the punishment that will follow."
"Ah? Shouldn't we just keep this from him?" Al Nadeem didn't want to go into the gender topic again and followed the steward as he left, entangling the steward in conversation.
However, no matter how he tried to entangle, the steward was determined to report this matter. After all, the trouble caused this time was far too significant. Even if it didn't result in a backlash from the Moran family, it would still give Prince Al Nadeem a major headache.
But the steward trusted Laila; he believed she would keep her promise and not pursue this matter further. The reason he had to make this call was actually because he had more important information to report.
"So, you mean my foolish son's condition was inexplicably cured by Miss Moran?" The voice on the other end of the line sounded incredulous.
"Yes. I saw it with my own eyes. They not only had a normal conversation, but the prince also made physical contact with her. However, I don't think her presence cured your condition, rather, I'm not sure why the condition didn't flare up in her presence." The steward remembered that the trouble this time was completely caused by the prince's condition. He wanted to prevent Laila from calling Charlize Theron over to cover the prince's mouth, which had led to this incident.
"Such a thing could actually happen!" The prince pondered for a moment before giving his orders, "I understand. I will fully investigate Miss Moran's background. During this period, observe her closely as well."
"Understood, Your Highness," the steward respectfully replied.
