Chapter 237 - Chapter 237 - Wonderful Misunderstanding

"BOSS, what's happening?" Theron and Demi, who were taking a walk on the beach, clearly noticed the commotion and hurriedly ran over.

Now Al Nadeem couldn't stay calm any longer. His handsome face turned red as he threw a helpless look at the butler and said, "You deal with the rest." Then he rolled and crawled while holding onto his bodyguards and fled.

When Theron and the others arrived, what they saw was an elderly man in Arabian robes, looking at Laila with a wry smile.

"What happened? What's going on?" Theron first made sure Laila wasn't hurt before turning to Roy, "What happened just now?"

"How would I know? I saw a man about to do something to Laila and rushed over." Everything happened too fast. Suddenly being pointed at by so many guns, he hadn't even had time to feel scared before it was over. He wanted to know what had happened!

When that peculiar man in robes had approached Laila, Roy had already been paying attention to this side. He thought nothing of it when they started talking, but then he saw the man lunging at Laila. How could he stand that? Without thinking, he rushed over and threw a punch.

"Laila, what exactly happened just now?"

"Yeah, BOSS, what happened?" Roy asked with concern.

Laila glanced at the Arabian butler who had been left behind and sighed lightly, "I'll handle it, you guys go rest over there."

"What do you mean you'll handle it? What exactly are you handling?" Roy wasn't as relaxed as she was. Looking back now, this was the first time he had been stared at by so many armed men. It was just too dangerous!

"Of course, it's our mistake!" Linda approached, bowing apologetically to them, "We're truly sorry for this, it's our oversight."

"Of course, it's your oversight!" Roy exclaimed angrily, "Weren't you supposed to be the private butler? Where were you when that guy was doing something to Laila? What did you do when your master was in danger?"

Linda lowered her head even more, "I'm very sorry, our company will offer you an explanation."

Roy was about to say something more when Laila nudged him, "Alright, it's not related to her." As the saying goes, when immortals fight, mortals suffer. The other party was a prince, and even Linda had no way to deal with him. Moreover, Al Nadeem had acted somewhat absurdly. Suddenly making that kind of move, it wasn't surprising that people would misunderstand.

"How can it not be related?" Roy was really upset. So Arabian men were amazing, huh? Even if he's a prince, he can't just go around touching women without their consent!

At this moment, he hadn't realized that he had just "touched a woman" himself. Fortunately, his punch hadn't hit the prince; otherwise, things might have gotten even messier.

"It's nothing, you guys go on and enjoy yourselves." Laila picked up a scarf and tied it casually around her waist. She turned to the Arabian butler who had been left behind, "Come with me, let's find a quiet place to talk."

"Of course, that would be ideal." The butler readily agreed.

Arranged by Linda, they arrived at a small pavilion situated on a nearby rocky hill. The pavilion was made of white jade carvings and offered a panoramic view of the beach and sea below.

"Director Moran, on behalf of my master, I extend our most sincere apologies to you. Please believe that he is not usually so careless." The butler felt quite embarrassed as he said this. From any angle, reaching out to cover a lady's mouth with one's hand was an extremely inappropriate action.

Laila lifted the drink that was brought over and took a sip. The icy juice slid down her throat, dissipating some of the irritation that had been building up.

"Butler, I find your explanation quite unbelievable," she said, her voice tinged with mystery, as she twirled the straw in her drink.

The butler was well aware that his explanation sounded foolish, but the problem was that this foolish action was genuinely committed by his esteemed master.

"In fact, our prince suffers from a severe case of gynophobia or a fear of women. He can even faint in the presence of a lady. So, after falling for Miss Theron at first sight on the screen, he didn't dare to pursue her in person. He only hoped to be friends with her through AmEx's assistance."

With his words, some of the puzzle pieces that Laila hadn't understood fell into place. No wonder he didn't dare to personally pursue her and instead used AmEx as an intermediary. No wonder he wanted to be friends but only through communication and emails...

But there was still a significant issue here.

"Gynophobia? Are you sure he has gynophobia?" Laila chuckled ambiguously, turning the straw in her drink with a playful look.

The butler nodded earnestly, "I can provide you with the royal diagnosis report. Since he was four years old, there haven't been any female servants around him."

Laila slammed the cup of drink heavily onto the table, "If he has gynophobia, then why could he talk so much when facing me? Do I look like a man, or do I seem easy to deceive?"

"(⊙o⊙)" The butler was bewildered. That's right! Since just now, their master had been talking to this lady director who was undoubtedly female. He had even abruptly used his hand to cover her mouth.

Up until then, everyone's attention had been on Theron, the prince's admirer, neglecting this incredible detail. If the old master knew...

Could it be that the master's condition had improved?

No, that wasn't it! If it had improved, then when he heard that Director Moran was going to call Miss Theron over, he wouldn't have tried to stop it. But if it hadn't improved, how could they explain the fact that the prince had conversed with Director Moran for quite a while?

The butler blinked repeatedly, unable to find the right words. If he couldn't provide a suitable explanation for his master, the incident that had just happened would become a very damaging dispute, possibly causing significant harm to his master's reputation.

After thinking for a while, the butler finally said in a dry tone, "I think it's because Director Moran gives off a very friendly vibe. It prevents my master from setting up barriers against you in his heart."

A friendly vibe? Laila was stunned by the audacity of the butler's words.

"Do you think I give off a friendly vibe?" She looked at him, her face sporting a strange expression, and asked again. Friendly vibe? Her? Heh, what a wonderful misunderstanding.
