Linda maintained a respectful smile as she watched the two banter. Seeing Roy stuffing a steak into his mouth like a bun, she chuckled and said, "While there are no ferocious beasts, there are animals like deer and antelopes that run quite fast. They are quite agile, and catching them isn't as simple as it sounds."
She knew what Roy truly wanted, and she quickly pointed out the important details. Prey that isn't easy to catch is what you're looking for. Our animals here aren't so easily caught.
Indeed, Roy's interest was piqued again. He looked at Laila with hopeful eyes and said, "Boss, how about going hunting tomorrow?" He hadn't experienced what it was like to hold a gun in his hands yet.
"I'm not going." Laila put down her utensils gracefully and wiped her mouth, "If you want to go, go by yourself. I have things to do."
"You're here, and you have things to do?" Roy didn't believe her words.
"When you become a boss, you'll understand what I need to do." Laila dismissed him with a glance and turned her gaze to the side, "Demi, Theron, if you want to explore, go ahead. I believe it's safe here."
Linda smiled and added, "Indeed, if you have any requests, feel free to let me know. The entertainment facilities here are complete, and there won't be any dangerous situations."
"I'll pass." Theron wasn't in the mood to go out, especially considering the person who wanted to befriend him might have arrived on the island.
On the other hand, Demi seemed eager from the beginning. But since the boss wasn't willing to go out, she had to contain her excitement.
"Demi, if you want to go, feel free. It's not every day we're on an island." Laila understood her hesitation.
"No need!" Daisy quickly waved her hand, "I'm good here. The house is beautiful, and I like it!"
Laila chuckled, "We didn't come all the way here just to admire the rooms. It's better if you all go out and explore."
"Yeah, let's go hunting together!" Roy took the opportunity to interject.
"Forget it." Laila directly rejected him without giving him face.
"Why!" Roy protested, "This is gender discrimination!"
Laila looked at him seriously and said, "I don't think turning killing into a game is a pleasant thing to do."
"..." Roy fell silent. Fine, he had to admit that her words killed his enthusiasm for hunting. "Damn, can't you let me be happy for a while? By saying that, how can I have the mood to go hunting now?"
Laila smiled, "How about we all go for a walk by the seaside tomorrow?"
With the boss's command, the others naturally complied. Even Theron, who was reluctant to go out, nodded with a smile.
Unlike the weather in late May in Hollywood, the temperature on Golden Island was very comfortable. The air, carrying the scent of the sea, felt refreshing and humid. It was early in the morning, and the call of the waves had roused Laila from her sleep.
After a hearty breakfast, the group, led by Linda, arrived at the golden beach of Golden Island. American Express had put a lot of effort into this beach to welcome wealthy guests from various parts of the world. Even the slightly larger stones had been removed to ensure that even if you walked barefoot, you wouldn't have to worry about getting scratched by things hidden in the sand.
"The sea here is so beautiful!" Demi's eyes never left the expanse of ocean as soon as she stepped onto the beach.
The transparent sea water displayed a jelly-like shade of light blue, turning into a light green as it rushed onto the beach, contrasting magically with the yellow sand beneath. The water was crystal clear, allowing a clear view of the beach below and some unlucky sea creatures caught in the waves.
According to Linda, the water quality around here was excellent, almost entirely unspoiled. Just by looking at the seawater, you could tell that she wasn't exaggerating.
As soon as they arrived on the beach, Roy followed an instructor into the sea with a surfboard to learn how to surf. Theron, in her swimsuit, took a stroll on the nearby beach. she occasionally stepped into the water as the waves rushed in and then laughed as she backed away.
Though Demi was also in her swimsuit, she stayed close to Laila, maintaining an appearance of having no interest. She remembered that her identity was that of a secretary, and if the boss wasn't indulging, how could she indulge herself?
"Relax here; I don't have any work for you. Feel free to play," Laila lazily lay on a sun lounger, suggesting to her secretary who was trailing behind her with a serious demeanor.
Demi hesitated for a moment; since the boss said so…
"Well, I'll go for a bit then. Please feel free to call me if you need anything."
Laila waved her hand and found a comfortable position on the sun lounger.
The ocean here was indeed quite nice—there wasn't the murkiness she had seen in her past life or the unpleasant fishy smell carried by the sea breeze. The fresh sea breeze combined with the warm sunlight made her, who had been busy for so long, feel drowsy.
As she was about to drift off to sleep, a strong presence by her side slowly pulled her out of her reverie. Since they were on an island in the middle of the sea, and not far from her was a service team led by private butler Linda, it was unlikely that anyone unfamiliar would approach her. So, apart from her family, it had to be other guests.
She could sense that someone had come close, but she couldn't have guessed that the person she would see was a man dressed in an Arabian thobe and a headscarf.
Laila squinted her eyes and sat up.
Perhaps feeling uncomfortable under her icy blue gaze, the man spoke hesitantly, "Greetings, Director Laila Moran. I am Al Nadeem bin Talal Al Saud. You can call me Al Nadeem."
"Hello." Laila nodded casually. Her half-squinted, icy-blue eyes radiated a hint of sharpness. "So, Your Highness Prince Al Nadeem, what brings you to me?"
