Hey Hey kiddos! Cried the clown his mouth stretching to the edge of his face with a terrifying grin. So who here is new?
He was shocked his suspicions had just been confirmed. So they really were used to this!
He couldn't believe it. Why hadn't they reported this yet? Surely they weren't fine with being kidnapped right? This is getting me nowhere so I might aswell follow aling for now.
Seeing Jacob and a few others raise their hands the two clowns either side the original stepped forwards and ushered them towards the front.
So you guys are new here then? That's great. By now you should of noticed the funky screen infront of you! Just ignore whatever it says it's a lie made by the people that oppose us. They trick people into working for them then experiment on them!
I can't figure out if he's telling the truth or not but I'm not going to blondly follow him either. Was it really that dangerous afterall? It should be fine aslong as he only used the powers that came with it and ignored instructions. Seemingly coincidentally at that moment the screen dinged again

It gave him 2 options but it seemed to be forcing his hand jist a tiny bit with that penalty of death.
After a short moment of debat he finally decided to accept. Afterall the clowns didn't seem to be the most trustworthy of people seeing as how they locked us up.
Well no more clowning around I should try and find a route of esacape. +0.1 proficiency Comedy Genius. I can't help but feel insulted about that.
Peering behind the clowns he saw a long corridor with metal wearing coats of rust coveringbthe floors walls and ceiling. It didn't seem very appealing and to be honest he would probably die of tetanus before escaping.
*Squeak* *Squeak*
Looking up he saw a person with a dark black mask on umscrewing one of the ceiling panels. He seemed about 6'1 and had bulging muscles. He seemed like the sort of person you would cross the road to avoid.
He pulled out a small rectangle so small in fact it could sit comfortably in his palm he waited for the clowns to be looking away before dropping it down to Jacob.
He caught it in his arms and immediately pocketed it to hide the rectangle from the clowns. Who was that man and why did he give me this plastic object.
That will ne all for the introductions said the lead clown. Please settle down in your rooms and wait for further instructions. As he said that, yet another panel twisted off the walls revealing a nicely decorated corridor with doors on either side.
Your rooms have got names above them and we tried putting you with people you would get on with! That was it and he walked away back into the dingy corridor.
Following the stream of children he spun his head right and left like he was stretching his neck trying to find the door with his name on it.
Above all doors were two names and the other name next to his was. MARLO?
He entered the room in a hurry and sure as day there was Marlo, sat on his bed with a worried expression on his face.
"Oh my god Marlo is that really you?"
"In the flesh dude."
I had given up all hope of seeing him again Jacob murmured to himself with tears forming in the clouds of his eyes.
Wait there was something important he had to do first! He took out the chip and read the label on it 'Break Me'. He had no reason not to and snapped the little chip in half a light poured out from the husk of the chip when he broke it and flowed into him.
He felt information intruding into his brain but did not resist instead welc9ming the influx of knowledge.

Jeez they could of added a delay between popups. The sudden triple ringing had scared Jacob slightly.
What was that? Marlo asked confused. It seemed like he couldn't see the light or the tab. I just followed what the screen said replied Jacob. Marlo seemingly didn't trust the clowns either as he didn't question Jacob's use of the system.
Jacob was drawn to the new skill. Magic? He scoffed out loud. If your going to lie make it believable. Pointing out his index finger at the wall and thought "Fire Bolt". Triggering his mana vision he saw as the mana in the air crashed into each other at crazy velocities.
The collisions were causing sparks that formed fire. It was then propelled forwards and struck the wall with a bang. The seemingly solid wall now had a large dent in it alongside fresh burn marks.
H-huh? The boys cried in unison. To Marlo he had just saw his friend point at a wall and shoot fire out of his finger. Jacob looke over at Marlo with a smile on his face.
Jacob was excited. He now had a way of fighting and a means of escape.
