Chapter 5 - Back the Fuck Off, Aaron

{Mia's point of view.}

I cannot fucking believe this is happening to me.

I. Cannot. Fucking. Believe!

"I don't know this guy. Let's go, Ariana. You'll send the count to your girlfriend after all this, saying how much they'll have to pay for my car. But, I'll not stay here anymore."

When I turned to leave, Aaron held my wrist, and I turned my burning gaze to where he was holding me back. "Are you running away, from your problems again? And what do you mean by saying that you don't know me, Naomia?"

"Fuck off, Aaron. I'm not running away. I didn't ran away back then either. And let me go, I don't want to see your fucking face anymore. It hurt my eyes," he looked at me intensively and I returned the gaze.

"I think they know each other way more than they want to admit," Zara whispered to Ariana, loud enough for me to hear.

"Could you please, stop talking? It's annoying."

"Don't talk to my secretary like that, Naomia!" Aaron said, firmly and I looked at his face, with pure anger in my eyes.

"It's Mia! And don't talk to me. I don't want to hear your voice!" I exclaimed, feeling my eyes burn.

"You said you didn't run away, but you did. You just ran away from all your problems because you were weak and scared of facing them."

I couldn't hold it anymore, I slapped at his face with my free hand and he looked shocked. "I slapped your face back then, don't think I won't do it again now. Don't call me weak. I wasn't weak or scared back then, and I'm not right now. I didn't run away from my problems, I just couldn't look at you anymore, and you were in every-fucking-place I went. I was annoyed, angry, sad, and feeling all the bad feelings you could imagine. So, yeah, I didn't want to see you ever again. And it's not considered running away when I told you I didn't want to see you anymore. Asshole-"

After freeing my wrist from his grasp, I took some steps back, getting away from him. Shaken.

"Fuck this. I don't care anymore. As the girls said, we're both riches, you pay for your car and I'll pay for mine. But if you don't agree, go see the street cameras, you'll know that I was right. I was serious when I told you that I didn't want to see you ever again, Aaron. You didn't change. Back then you blamed me for your mistakes, and you're doing the same now. Don't approach me. Don't come after me, or I'll swear that I'll make you regret it in the worst way possible."

"Mia-"

He tried reaching out to me, but I was already getting inside my car. "No! Back the fuck off, Aaron. Don't say that I didn't warn you." I decided to drive, and Ariana came right after me, sitting by my side, silent, seeing how messed up, angry, and stressed I was.

路路路

{Ariana's point of view.}

In those two years, I've been working for Mrs. Augustine, I've never seen her so pissed off. She was always composed, with class, even when she scolded us, she did it composedly. But the dude pissed her off in less than two minutes.

I think Zara may have realized it too. The fact that my boss and hers' are probably exes, with a very turbulent past. Where Mr. Aaron may have done something very bad to my boss, and a big part of me doesn't like him for that.

And Mrs. Augustine's right, we indeed stopped when the sign was red, but they didn't. Maybe they were talking about something and Zara didn't pay attention to the sign and when she saw it was already too late, the damage had already been done.

The thing is, today it's gonna be difficult, I pity the people in the company and myself. And I blame, Mr. Aaron, for this. As I couldn't bear seeing her tense like that anymore, because I was becoming anxious as fuck, I tried to smooth the air between us.

"It was a hell of a slap you did that, boss. Badass as fuck," thank god, she laughed.

We're going to live another day. Guys in the company, you should thank me!

"Thank you, Ariana. Sorry for that, by the way. I'm not usually like that, it's just that... damn, he always puts me on edge!" She bit her lips and I knew she was nervous about it.

"Don't worry, boss. That dude must have fucked up things badly with you. I'm on your side. Your attitude back there was badass. It's normal to get worked up sometimes. So, it's okay," breathing a sigh of relief, she nodded, without taking her eyes off the road.

It took us some time to arrive at the company and the moment boss entered it all the eyes traveled to her. I made a sign behind her, to show them that she wasn't in a good mood. Then we headed directly to her office.

"Boss," I called her when she sat in her chair. "You have an appointment in an hour. It's a meeting with one of our lead writers, related to her new book."

Sigh. "Alright. Bring me one of my tea, I need to calm down before the meeting!"
