Chapter 2 - Getting a life

Strangely, a chapter has already formed. Due to a lack of information regarding this phenomenon i shall abstain from further elaboration.

After observing the creation of a chapter, i shared my information regarding the system anomaly. I proposed we all read each other to further increase our knowledge easily. This was met with some resistance as many claimed it was "an invasion of privacy" and "not neccesary". I assume this means that they have existed longer than me, gaining secrets over time.

I never understood why anyone would bother to keep secrets. Sharing knowledge is key to further understanding.

Nonetheless, a few individuals agreed with me. This led us to create an alliance of sorts, sharing all available knowledge to increase chances of prosperity. Reading eachother gave us an interesting list of facts:

1. All members but me have prologues, yet there are relatively few differences between them.

2. All members but me were reincarnated on the basis of doing little more than reading, thereby avoiding even the most basic qualifications for an afterlife.

3. All members but me used to be humans from either the same or suspiciously similar universes.

4. All members who posessed a system(All members but me) had "get a life" as their first quests. It is unclear whether this means to obtain a creaure's life essence(or similar interpretations) or the apparently more popular interpretation of obtaining an occupation and companions.

Due to us having seemingly accomplished the latter half of the more popular interpretation, we have decided to delay further speculations regarding the definition of "getting a life" and to begin speculating on how to obtain an occupation.

The first attempt was to simply declare ourselves as having different jobs. Alan declared himself a firefighter, seemingly forgetting that water is almost as harmful to us as fire is. This had no visible effect. Beatrice declared herself a librarian, which i suppose would be some sort of leader-role given our species book-based biology. This also had no visible effect. Cecil was the last to have an idea within this attempt; he declared himself an author, though there was little need for one as we write ourselves(literally). Any sort of visible effect has not been produced.

The second attempt was to do favors for one another in exchange for currency. There was, however, no need for favors. Given a lack of biological needs and/or wants, the only real goal was to figure out what the extremely vague quest meant. If one were to attempt gaining payment from this action, one would find that as there is very little else to do, one would eventually return to the path of speculating for free; therefore, currency is not a needed incentive.

Eventually, we decided to give up and assume it was some sort of insult(I fail to see how that would be the case, but it may be a human thing.), and find better things to do than chase after the meaning of an elusive quest.
