Chapter 5 - Ant Queen And The Beast

In the middle of the forest, a deathly battle was going on between an ARMY of the Ants and a single beast.

MOONS were like eyes of heaven spectating the battle.

Ground had become a pond of blood, which reflected the moonlight perfectly.

Beast was one sided massacring the army. Five of its tails were going underground from behind him, and were emerging from where the troops were located at five different places. Tips of the tails were silver shining with a glint of green within which moved like flash, attacking the weak points on the Ants bodies, and exploding them on spot in a single shot. He was wearing a long and pleasured grin over his face after seeing the bodies explode.

It was tapping its feet in sync with the tempo, sending shockwaves towards army, attacking and enjoying the scene unfolding in front of him.

Tip of the tails were moving in lightening speed within the troops. All the ants were in chaos and turmoil, hastily looking for the cause. But they were left helpless.

They still didn't back down and tried to fight the unknown. But they were just serving their purpose as standing targets for the beast to eliminate.

Just when the beast was sure of his victory, all of the ants started behaving strangely.

Beast was startled at first, but then he realized the cause.

Ten arrowed stings flew out of the cave, which pinned down the tails of the beast to the ground. They were immobilized. Beast tried to shake them off but it didn't worked.

A Flash emerged from the cave, which stopped above the Army.

Finally, the ANT-QUEEN had arrived at the battlefield.

She loftily winged above the army. Sparkling Dust was sprinkling from her wings which revitalized the whole Army. Everyone's fatigue and exhaustion vanished like magic. Now their eyes were even more fierce than before. Eerie screeching sounds started echoing in the battlefield.

The Queen glanced at all blood of the ants spilled on the battlefield. She then glared and sized up the beast as if she was looking down on him.

Beast responded to the glare by raising his forelegs high up in the air and smashing them on the ground with a great force. A huge shockwave ran towards the army with a great destructive force. A great depression was formed in the ground underneath the beast.

The shockwave was still half a mile away.

The Queen squinted her eyes seeing the coming attack and raised all eight of her legs while flying.

The army understood the command and divided themselves in eight troops instantly.

Next, she arranged them in a single curved horizontal line. And ordered them to face the wave head-on.

The ants locked their legs with the ants standing next to them and all of them bury their long mandibles into the ground.

Teamwork and discipline could be clearly seen in their movements and actions. The whole process was done with lightening speed.

The shockwave finally reached the army by uprooting nearly all the huge trees and tearing the ground between them.

But, to the beast's surprise, the wave didn't even affected a single Ant. All of them were unscathed.

The wave just passed through them.

The Queen smiled Smugly at the foolishness of the beast.

She avoided the shockwave by dividing the Army in eight different troops and made them stand at the nodes of the wave, which she had already calculated with just a glance. By locking onto each others legs and burying their mandibles into the ground, they reduced the effects of the wave and came unscathed from the attack.

She looked at the beast, but she found something odd. She saw that the beast was also wearing a smug smile over his face, which confused her.

Suddenly she realized something and turned around to look at the certain place, but it was too late.

The main purpose of the shockwave was to knock of the Queen's stings off from its tails which were pinning them down into the ground.

The beast was happy now that his tails were free, which provided it with greater range of attack types and also served their purpose for defense.

Now the Ant-Queen was truly enraged. She spread wide all her wings in an imposing manner and released all her Aura at the beast which created a great pressure on the beasts mind. Its body jolted backwards a little but it steadied itself and it too let out the Aura out its body.

At that moment, the pressure over the battlefield was so high that even some Ant soldiers started losing consciousness.

The Queen observed that, and let out even more of that sparkling dust, which stabilized the condition of the troops back again.

Just then, a silhouette made its way out of the cave. It was the boy who had come out, but as soon as he came out, he was left horror-struck.

He was too scared in front of these many creatures. Even their appearance was enough to give any child nightmare for years. Every single one of the creature was twice his size and able to snap off his head from his body, and the he wouldn't even be able to make a sound. And he was standing behind 500 hundreds such creatures.

He lost all his strength from the fear alone, and the pressure over the battlefield made him unable to breathe.

The little bit of hope he had was shred apart by this. Somewhere deep inside his mind, he knew that he wouldn't be able to survive.
