Steve didn't like it a bit, he didn't like Jacob being impressed about Erica for anything else other than her talent and work ethics.
Jacob continued to talk as Steve was silent.
"When you begged me to look into her profile and threatened me, I reluctantly looked into it but I was definitely very impressed that was why I let her get a transfer to our branch. But I thought, although she is good at her job, her personality and attitude must not be good as at the end of the day she asked her friend for favour to get this job."
"She didn't, it was me who wanted her here, she even rejected my offer the first time, I begged her to come here." Steve coldly responded to Jacob as he didn't wish for him to misunderstand Erica.
