Paul and Erica then went out to her room balcony which had two big bean bags.
The two people comfortably settled themselves on the bean bags and looked out at the beautiful view outside.
"Cheers" Paul pointed his beer near to hers and she clanked her bottle with his.
The two took a sip of their bottles and continued looking at the night view.
"Why are you upset?" Paul broke the silence.
"I am not upset dad" Erica lied not looking at her father, if she looks at him then she might lose control over herself and start crying.
"How can one not be upset if the love of their life wants to marry her only to fulfil some promise" Paul calmly dropped a bombshell on Erica.
She looked at Paul, astounded by this revelation.
"You were at the…" She wondered if Paul was present at the shore.
"Hahaha no" Paul interrupted her and confirmed he was not present at the location where Steve proposed her.
