Mark looked down, he was feeling too awkward to look at her and he kept his head down, "So… sorry for earlier, I just… came to wake him up… as mom asked me to" Mark explained his earlier intrusion. "I had no idea… you two…" Mark was very embarrassed for walking on his sister at a time like this.
"Will you stop it? Nothing was happening between us"
Mark lifted his head and suspiciously looked at his sister, his gaze saying, 'You think I am a child?'
"I am telling you the truth Mark; I too went to wake him up because mom gave the responsibility to me"
"You don't need to lie and it is okay you don't have to explain yourself to me" Mark didn't believe her so he clearly asked her to not explain herself.
The situation was turning more awkward
Erica face-palmed herself as her brother was not ready to believe her.

"By lying on the bed with him?" Mark sarcastically asked her.
