In the other car, Erica asked Steve, "By the way, why are you heading to our home?"
Earlier they followed their mom's instructions and didn't question her, both the siblings thought their mother randomly invited Steve to their house.
Erica just realized it is too late to invite anyone over so she asked him now.
"Your parents invited me to stay over at your place for the next few days"
"What?" Both the siblings shouted in unison as they were shocked.
"Yeah, I asked them to suggest one hotel but they insisted I stay at your place"
'FUCK' Erica thought, after what happened between her and Steve, she was really scared of living with him under the same roof as she had no idea when she might lose control over herself.
"There is a nice hotel nearby, you can stay there, no need to stay at our home" Mark voiced out his thoughts and rudely asked Steve to not stay at their place.
