"Stop it Steve, can you be fucking serious for one second?" She was losing her patience with him.
"Chill, everything will be fine."
Erica helplessly shook her head, "Does Jack know about it?"
"No he doesn't, but dad trusts him a lot so I'll be involving him and I requested him to help me find someone from the Seattle branch to assist me in this and look at the coincidence he chose you."
"Hmm" Erica knows how much Jack trusts her.
"Steve, you guys didn't doubt Jack?" Erica questioned him.
"Doubt as in, Jack being the one leaking information?" Steve asked her to confirm.
"Yeah, I too trust Jack but if it is serious, you should doubt everyone, you should even doubt me." Erica shared her opinion.
"Jack is dad's best friend, their friendship is very deep and you are my best friend. Me and dad are never going to doubt you two."
"That's ridiculous"
"Don't worry, I also have some evidence that would prove you and Jack are not involved don't worry about it"
"Oh"
Steve finished the bowl of noodles, "Is there more?" He asked her pointing at the noodles.
"Yeah, wait"
She transferred the rest of the noodles which he happily completed.
"Erica, the noodles were super awesome"
"Okay"
Steve laughed at her indifference, "I overstayed my welcome, I'll take my leave now"
"Yeah, leaving me in suspense" Erica complained as he didn't give her the complete information.
"Sleep tonight, from tomorrow you will be very busy" He then bid her adieu and finally left.
Erica too went to sleep, her mind couldn't help but recollect the time she just spent with Steve.
She had many questions, she wondered why he broke up with Lisa and who is the person leaking their office secrets, with all these thoughts she slept.

Next Day
Steve got ready and drove to the law firm.
He stopped at a signal and just then a man who was walking by the side of his car suddenly dropped a parcel in Steve's lap and casually walked away.
Steve carefully kept that package on the passenger seat next to him and drove to the firm with an evil grin on his face.
Jack was sitting in his cabin when Steve came to visit him.
"Good Morning Jack" Steve greeted him and took out a black colored device and signaled Jack to keep quiet and Jack strangely looked at Steve who saw something on the device with a frown on his face and sat across Jack.
"Morning Steve." Jack greeted him back.
"Jack, the reason I came to Seattle is sorted"
"Oh, good to know that, if I may ask what trouble in the office were you talking about earlier?" Jack asked him.
"Actually I lied, there is no trouble in the office, the truth is I came here for my personal reasons."
