Eve felt blood rushing to her cheeks, the heat of it spreading over her skin from her face and down to the rest of her body. "It's a really weird idea," she muttered, suddenly embarrassed by the directions her mind pushed her in. She looked away, unable to bear Victor's hungry stare at her any longer.
"I think it's ingenious, Eve." His voice was rough with lust. He closed the floating window with Beistand's code and leaned closer to the woman lying on the sand. "You have nothing to be shy about. For most people a fantasy like this one would only ever be a fantasy."
Eve let out an uneasy chuckle. "A fantasy. A dream. In a way, it still would be…" she muttered under her breath. "You really want to try it, don't you, Victor?"
"Yes, and for two reasons. Besides the obvious one, I want to see if I can do it at all. It would be a stretch of my mental capabilities, and I want to see how far they will go."
