Have you ever burnt in a fire? That's somewhat how I felt when I clashed with Raptor's magic.
His hand was overflowing with the intensity of his magic power. But that didn't stop me from giving my all in the strike. I could feel the power of my strike as Magnum glowed even more. Raptor surely felt the intensity as he tried to suppress his painful expression on his face.
Our clash went on for like a minute or so. My face was filled with emotions. I didn't know whether to cry in pain, or to shout with anger, or to just have a serious look. By the end, I yelled loudly and pushed my limits. I used all my power and attacked Raptor with Magnum's spirit by my side. That was the time when Magnum glowed totally white.
I didn't understand what was happening to Magnum but I didn't have time to think. Raptor too, used all his magic power. Then everything went blank.
The world came to a stand-still as I flew away – as far as I remember – from the clash. Everything around me stopped. The noise of shouts and screams were no longer heard. It was as if I had attained inner peace. Then just as I had that thought, everything returned to normal. I heard noises around me and opened my eyes. Lying on the ground, totally wounded, I was looking around. Xavier was lying near a half destroyed tree. Oliver had fallen on the rocks nearby and Lily's left leg was stuck in the crowd of rocks. But one thing was similar in all of us – the blood coming out of our bodies.
I tried to get up but it was as though I had forgotten how to do so. Magnum was lying beside me, still glowing with the white light. Now it had really made me curious as to what had happened to Magnum. In front of me, Raptor was on his knees, exhausted from our fight. Then he looked at me. "I knew you could do it. You had the power to do so, but not enough to stop me." He said.
"Think what you want. Rock Flames would already have prepared a defense unit by now." I spoke with confidence though I had no idea if Rock Flames had done anything like that. Raptor's face turned to shock. "Rock Flames?! I knew it. You are…." Then he looked at the Saphrop which had totally set down, with only a line of orange light on the horizon. "Never mind. I have much more important tasks to do than to fight with you. I will bring my lord back." He said. I wondered why he was shocked to hear Rock Flames's name and what he knew about me.
Then he stood up with all his strength. I tried to stop with him and grabbed Magnum but was still unable to stand. "No." I said. He ignored me, still looking at the horizon. "Beware people! King Jalaar will put an end to your lives.", then he looked at me, "Especially you, Blaze Hunt! Be prepared." He said. The way he said that, it seemed to be a message only for me. I couldn't understand what he actually meant.
He changed back to his normal form. Then with a loud roar, the two-thousand year old beast ran away, off into the woods.
