Zeven weaved in and out of the crowd, trying to hurry the best he could. Without his glasses it was harder to get around, but it was manageable. However, conditions were not favorable. The setting sun cast little light over the town, casting everything in shadows which made distinguishing people from their dark backgrounds harder, not to mention the twinkling lights that were strung up over the street altered the colors of the world. Thankfully, Zeven had taken his time earlier to make a mental map of the street just in case.
He worked his way through using his memory. Keeping his head down more than usual to make up for the lack of glasses to hide his identity.
When he got to the stall he was looking for, he bought two sticks of spun sugar. They were colored lightly, and were shaped like clouds. As he made his way back to Chris, he smiled at the thought of watching her try it for the first time.
He saw no sign of her when he returned to the spot. looking around, he made sure that he hadn't gotten off course and came to the wrong place. The location was right, but Chris was not there. He swore to himself, passing off the sugar to a nearby person. Springing into action he began to search frantically for her.
