Long, long ago, it is said that a blind girl is always at the field when midnight comes. She stays there until one in the morning. She always lifts her head up as if her lonely eyes are looking at the skies. One night, on the field, she heard a deep soft voice. This voice is talking to her, but she doesn't know whose voice it is, so she ignored it. Another night, the voice still talked to her, but she didn't reply any word. She just stayed quietly while the deep soft voice is telling her stories.
Five midnights had come but still the voice would talk to her, telling her jokes and funny stories to make her laugh and she would smile at his jokes and stories, but as soon as she remembered the fact that she cannot see, her smiles will fade away and she will held his head low. But the owner of the voice held her chin and made her look up to the skies. "The time will come that you will see the beauty of the skies and the brightest stars in the universe. Just keep hoping, I promise you." And for the first time since she heard the voice, she talked and asked for his name. She heard him chuckled and state his name, "Dominus" (a Latin word for Emperor or King). Somehow, she felt relieved knowing the person's name who helped her ease her loneliness. From then on, when midnight come, they would talk and enjoy each other companies. "When the time comes that your eyes can see, look for my crown in the skies. That crown represents me and that I will always come to you to be by your side and make you smile for the rest of your life."
After weeks, Dominus promise came true. She didn't stop hoping and because of that she is finally healed and finally can see. She was so happy and very excited for midnight to come so that she can tell Dominus the good news to him and the fact that she can now see him. But midnight had come and there's no sign if Dominus, no familiar voice and no familiar presence. She keeps on waiting and looked up to the skies and there's these stars that caught her attention. It is aligned and patterned to make it looks like a crown. She remembered something after she traced the stars. A lone tear escaped her eyes but she let out a hopeful smile and said, "Dominus, I found your crown. Your crown that represents you and that you will always come to me to be by my side and make me smile for the rest of my life so please, my King (translation of Dominus), know that I, too, will always hold onto your promises and will always wait for you to come." And as she talked these stars in the universe shine even brighter and she suddenly felt the cool wind embracing her. She smiled and stated his name, "Dominus."
