When humans were first summoned to hell, a plethora of difficulties stood in their way. There were several deaths almost every day.
But with new summons every year, little by little they began to grow in number faster than what reproduction would have normally allowed. With such great numbers 'residents' were able to counter the dangers of hell as they stood united.
As they had begun to settle down, they painted hell with a colour of their own culture. Of course, the materials back on earth weren't available in hell but there were a plethora of objects with similar properties.
The seat that Klautz was caressing at the moment also told the same story. Its exterior was made from the hide of Krampus, a monster found in hell with goat legs and animalistic facial features. The cushion too was made from some monsters intestines giving a bouncy feel to them. But at the end of the day, they had made the end product look the same.
