Thumping sounds can be heard all around the mansion. Servants were frantically running around in search of a certain little boy.
"Young master Al? Where are you?"
"Come out please young master! The madam is calling for you!"
"Young master! Pleasee, pleaseee stop hiding and come out already, I beg of you~"
They were doing their very best searching around for the little devil. Said devil however was currently not in the mansion. He was currently sitting on top of a small hill located outside of the mansion that gives a full view of the whole village. A gentle breeze caused the grass to sway, as if they were dancing to a windy melody. The gentle bask of sunlight that fell onto the village made it seem like a piece of art.
Al was basking in the sunlight enjoying the breeze, he then lazily stretches his body while laying down on the grassy hill, "Hmmmm, what a beautiful view. Right buddy?" He then turns towards his dearest friend, his best buddy, his partner.
"BAWKK!" A chicken, just your average chicken with white feathers and a red crown. It's legs however were a different story altogether but we'll get to that later. It was currently sitting comfortably on the ground and grooming its feathers.
Our mc turns his body to the left and on his side to face the chicken. The chicken, feeling Al's movement stopped its grooming and turns its head towards him. "BAWK?" It tilted it's head to the side which might seem cute when a girl does it, a chicken doing it however is…well still quite adorable but might be quite disturbing or weird for other people.
"It's been three years huh? Since I saved you." Al used his right hand to pat the chicken's head."
"BAWK~" The chicken seems to enjoy the pat and pushes his head further into Al's hand.
"*sigh*, my memories of that event are still clear as day inside of my head."

It's been 4 years since I got reincarnated into this world, Illusia as Allen Simmer. So far, life's been quite awesome. Too bad I couldn't do any heavy training since this body is still growing, magic is still a year away for me to start training since based on my memories, 5 years old are the best age to start any form of magical training.
Now, life might be quite mundane for others in my place, but I'm having the time of my life in this world. Being a kid once more is quite the experience, everything seems so different compared to an adult's point of view. First of all, everything's big, makes me feel like a little adventurer exploring a big big world.
"Young master~please be careful~" Too bad life as a noble means being taken care of by maids. Good thing they didn't forcefully try to lift me away like before after I cried as hard as possible last time.
I kept walking down the halls with a destination in mind, father's study. I like reading, I was quite the bookworm back on Earth after all. It was only this year that I finally can move freely compared to before. Granted, maids still follow me around to keep an eye out for me but at least it ain't like before where I can only follow mother around while she lifts me.
I stopped in front of dad's study before looking at the maid following me around, Kanna. "Big sis Kanna~please help me open the door." I then tip toed and tried to reach the doorknob in an act of trying to look cute. Which works most of the time.
"Hai~Young master, let me help you~There, it's done." She quickly catches up to me before opening the door, a small smile was plastered on her face, seems my effort in acting adorable worked. Go me!
The door to the study was then opened and I entered it promptly, "Thank you big sis~I love you!" I couldn't see her face since she was behind me, but I think she should be gushing at my faux cuteness. The squeal that came out of her indicates so at least.
"Kuhhhhh, young master is so cutee~I love you tooo~" Aight, moving on. I ignored her squeals as I moved towards the racks of books. I looked up and saw dozens of books arranged neatly, now which book should I read today?
"Young master, what book would you like to read today?" Kanna approached me and asked me the million gold question. I pointed at one of the larger books on the rack before looking at her.
"That book please, the big one." She looks at the book I was pointing at and seem a bit shocked. She looks back at me, then the book before looking back at me hesitantly. "That book?" I nodded my head vigorously. "But that book is not a fairy tale book, it's the book of the continent's history….are you sure about that?"
"Yes I am sure, please get me that book." She then sighs, "very well." before taking the book out of the rack and bringing it over to the table and putting it on top of it. I followed after her and sit on one of the seats. I look at the book and saw the word on its cover.
'History of Yodelia Vol 1'
The continent where I'm currently living in is known as Yodelia where many a species live in. The majority are human, followed by elves, beastfolk, dwarves, giants and fairies. There are also dragons which are super duper rare to see, only bits of knowledge about them here and there that's barely enough to prove their existence and also demons that are thought to have been wiped after the great war a century ago.
I continued reading the book with interest, eager to learn more about this new world. Or at the very least about Yodelia.

"Young master. Please wake up young master." I heard the voice of Kanna calling me and felt my body being shaken rather vigorously. I then opened my eyes lazily before sitting up while rubbing my eyes.
"Munyaa, Kanna? What's up?"
"Young master, sorry for waking you up but you've been asleep for at least 4 hours, it's already 2 past noon."
Her words snapped me awake as my eyes turn wide. "What!? 2 Past noon!?" "Yes young master, 2 past noon."
I looked at her with slight anger, "Why didn't you wake me up?" "I apologize young master, I tried to wake you up but-"
"You refused to wake up and slept with a huge smile on your face, I just couldn't continue to wake you up after seeing such an adorable expression on your face, ehehehe~"
I stared at her for a while before giving a defeated sigh, "*sigh*, alright nevermind." 'Damn me and my brain, did I overload on information and made my brain tired which automatically puts me to sleep or something?
...Nah, I'm just lazy, if read something for too long I tend to fell asleep quite easily. Tch, what a pathetic bookworm, ah well I'll continue tomor-

My thought got cut off by the hungry growl coming from my stomavh, Kanna giggles at me after hearing the sound coming out of me. "Seems like you are hungry young master, how about you wait here while I go fetch you some food." She turned around intending to leave for the kitchen but I managed to stop her in time.
"Kanna wait!" She turns towards me with an eyebrow raised, "Yes young master?", "Let me follow you to the kitchen~I wanna see the kitchen please big sis~" I then gave her the best puppy eye expression I could manage, where's my pride as a grown as man you say? Pride? What is that? Can you eat it?
She had a conflicted expression on her face as she struggles to find a decision before closing her eyes, taking a deep breath before sighing in defeat, "Fine, let's go to the kitchen, just keep it a secret from the Master and Madam."
I nodded vigorously at her words, she sighed once again before turning her head to the front and walking towards the door. I then stood up from the chair before following after her.

"Hold it steady!"
"I'm trying dammit! it's struggling hard, you think this is easy?"
There was a bit of a commotion in the kitchen when both of us arrived, a few servant seems to be trying hard to hold onto something in the middle of the room.
"What's going on here?" Kanna asked the servants as they turned towards us, seems like they haven't noticed us entering the kitchen.
"Ah, there's nothing wrong miss Kanna, we were just trying to tie up a rather adamant and weird animal." One of them said to Kanna as he scratches the back of his head in embarrassment perhaps.
Curious, I follow Kanna who went towards them, I took a peek at what they were tying up and saw a chicken staring back at me. It has white feathers and a red crown. Seems like a normal chicken, weird. How can a normal chicken need 4 adult male to restrain it? I continued staring at it while Kanna talks with the servants.
"Where did you get this chicken?"
"From the usual farm, they sent a few dozen chickens which all acted normally, only this one acted rather violently, it jumped out of its cage and attacked when one of us tried to lift it up and calm it down, it then ran all the way into the kitchen in an attempt to escape. We had to hold it down with 3 people while the 4th one tries to tie it up."
"Hmmmm, that's rather strange-" I pulled on the hem of Kanna's skirt to cut her off. She then looks towards me and gave me a smile. "Yes young master? What do you want?"
I pointed at the tied up chicken, "I want that chicken please."

"Hehehehehe, thank you for your help big sis Kanna~" I smile happily and widely while hugging the chicken in my room.
"*sigh*, don't mention it young master. Glad you're happy about it." Everyone in the kitchen was shocked when I said I wanted the chicken and even more shcked when I hugged it and started wailing, like a kid that didn't get what he wanted and started breakdancing on the floor while crying. In the end, they let go of the chicken quite easily though, they even told me to be careful with it since it is stronger than a normal adult male and could be dangerous is handled wrongly by a child.
"Big sis Kanna, can you go and tell father and mother about my new friend please?" I need her to leave to attempt what I'm going to do next.
"I've already sent for another maid to go tell on the Master and Madam. I'll be staying here and looking out for you, young master." She smiles plainly at me. Urgh, dammit. I'll have to use my weapon then.
I then stared at her with my puppy eyes only this time with extra puppies. She seems to falter under my onslaught and couldn't withstand it after a few moments and gave a defeated sigh.
"*sigh*, alright. I'll leave you alone for a bit. But do be careful young master." She then smiles weakly at me before exiting the room.
I waited for a few second to make sure she disappears before staring at the chicken. The chicken stares back at me.
"Alright, time to move on with the plans."
"BAWK?"
I then look at its legs to ensure that what I saw wasn't a hallucination, and yep, there it is. The scale of its legs has a dragon shaped pattern.
'I knew it.' I've seen this pattern in a book in the library of the school before, this pattern only appears on the phantasmal grade beast, the king chicken. It was a chicken said to have an unlimited potential, the highest record of a king chicken was level 9, as strong as all the high level fighters in the continent. The pattern on its legs was said to be the symbol of victory passed down by its ancestor after taking down a dragon king which is supposed to be a level 11 entity. Kyaaak how scary, and how lucky as well if I can make it my familiar.
I remember that you need to feed the chicken your blood to make a familiar contra- "YEOUCH!" The fucking chicken just scratched my eye! My left eye! I nearly cried out of pain but suddenly something started swirling around us, blue swirls that is…is, is that pure mana? So the contract has been triggered!?

How can I be so careless, I shouldn't have left the young master alone with that damn chicken. I only barged back into the room with my hidden dagger drawn when I hear the young master shouting in pain.
"Young master!!" I saw the young master holding is left in pain and blood dripping out from his hands. Fuck! The chicken is dead! Then I will kill myself to atone for my sins of causing the young master to be half-blinded. Suddenly a blue swirl appeared out of nowhere and surrounded both of them.
This, this sight seems familiar, "Is, is the young master making a familiar contract with that chicken!?" This is frankly shocking, but, but a person can only have one familiar at a time! The young master should have a far stronger and better beast as a fami-
I stopped that line of thinking since I saw the young master shouting in glee with a wide smile on his face...he seems happy….sigh, very well then if that is what the young master desire then so be it.
I'll just have to look after him and help him in order to make his familiar grow stronger so that he won't get looked down by others.

"Ah, nevermind, just talking to myself.." I then stared at the blue sky melancholically, "*sigh* the achievement and the slot mentioned actually make feel like I'm playing pokemon.
"Bakawk?"
"Hehehe, then that just makes me remember that OG song."
I then sang one of the song form my sweet childhood memories.
