Chapter 3 - 1870s

It was morning time. The smog was everywhere, the crows were loud, and everything was crowded. I and Bruce moved there to explore the area and the stores. Plus, Bruce wanted us to be in a place where we could belong. We were planning to stay for about a month. We couldn't stay long because, in most of the places that we had been, thanks to Bruce's beauty, people would try to be attached to him to the point that they would stalk him. Which would lead to them knowing his--and somehow my--secret. We wouldn't want that because Bruce would have to kill them (🙂). Anyway, on to the story.

One day I and Bruce went shopping. To remind you, Bruce is a vampire...and no that doesn't mean when he's in the sun he immediately burns to dust. Huh? No, his body does not sparkle like diamonds either! Where on earth did you get that from? (That would be quite interesting though...) You humans and your weird stereotypes. He just gets very bad sunburn, more easily than a human would. So at this time, he had a cloak. As Bruce and I left a dress store, we were introduced to two overly dressed women. They look alike, yet they weren't twins. One had brown hair and one had blonde hair. Both of them had too much make-up, yet they had different colors. Also, it looked like they had so much stuff added to their dresses... (heh) They kinda reminded me of the evil stepsisters from Cinderella. Especially when they act-

"HIIII BRUCEYYY!!" they both said, with their--oh, so annoying--accents.

"How have you been in this FINE morning?!" the brown-haired lady said, with the widest smile I have ever seen.

"Fine morning INDEED!" the blonde one said, making the same kind of smile. Really concerning how wide they can smile. But then again, I'm never used to smiling. Well, not big smiles. It would always be sad looking one because of my sad face.

"....Fine," says Bruce. Poor Bruce, in these times it's not exactly easy for him to out himself. Plus they can't see me, which means to them I'm not there, also meaning I can't help him out. I wondered if he'd dress more feminine it would've been easier for him. Who am I kidding, he could wear a crop-top and a skirt but he'd still look handsome in it. Anyway.

"Ohohoh! You are SO silly Brucey! A man of such few words, but I bet with lots of muscles!" the blonde one says, laughing while reaching to touch Bruce's arm. He moves it away though.

"Lots of muscles indeed!" the brown-haired one agrees. Bruce looked uncomfortable.

"Uh, thanks? uhhhh--"

"OhohohohO! Brucey!" the blonde one laughs. "You silly! You know our names!"

"Uhhhh, do I?"

"Of course! I'm Lucy!"

"And I'M Luzy!" the brown-haired one said, named to be Luzy.

Well, those will be easy to remember.

"Great. Well, we-uh-I need to get going. I'll be off." He waved, walking past them in a quick manner. With me--of course-- floating behind.
