Because that girl, never left her side since that day. She will always bother her in every way she can just to annoy her. And it is pissing her to the veins. She can't even now have the peaceful afternoon stroll and just laze around at lunch back then. This girl is a freakin sadist. This girl loves seeing her suffer. And even gets happy with it, saying she can now show emotions other than the "cold look". She's creepy! She is like a dog who won't leave you until you give them their snack.
And. this. happens. every. Single. day.
Other people even though they were in a relationship! And the boys are jealous just because the IT GIRL "hangs out" with her more than them. Huh! Those thirsty lads.
But this didn't faze the façade the lady has. Or so she thought.
Even though she says it annoys her, having someone…is really nice. She listens to the rants of this girl, and she'll be honest sometimes she tries to stifle a laugh because the stories told to her are actually funny.
It makes her feel warm and cozy inside. That as she sometimes walks to her home, she smiles thinking that maybe…just…maybe… she can finally have…
A friend.
"And then after that, that jerk fell off her chair as his pants are also pulled because, actually his pants was stuck on the nail, poking out of the wooden chair. And his boxers were those Ben 10 ones. It's hilarious, I'm telling you! HAHAHAHA!" exclaimed by the popular girl beside her while eating her lunch inside their classroom. Who now she learned has different sides that she doesn't let anyone see except her and one of those is this one, a time where she is so energetic and swears a lot. She also came to know that even though this girl is beautiful…she is also insecure about her own self. She also has insecurities she wishes she could change and hide. And that's the time she knew…they aren't really that different from each other.
Stifling and preventing the laugh to fall out…her body shakes violently and the girl beside her became worried thinking she choked herself. And being unable to hold her laughter, she lets out the first ever laugh she shared with another person. Wiping the tears off her eyes because of the intensity of her happiness kicking in. Not noticing the mesmerized girl beside her.
"WOW...You have such a nice smile! You should do it more often! Why the hell did you hide it?!" shouts the girl beside her.
"Hey…calm down, I'm just beside you…well…umm. I'm not that comfortable with others.", she said while fidgeting with her fingers. "And, I'm actually glad that you always stay with me even though I ignore you."
Mouth agape, the girl beside her touched her forehead asking, "Are you…sick? The you I know of answers curtly. So, who are you? Tell me!" whilst shaking her violently
"Fine, Fine.", She answered.
"Hey! I'm just kidding. Finally. You gave up huh…I know you can't endure my charms. Huh. HAHAHA. Well then, we should start our official seal in this friendship. Why don't we start with introductions?"
"W-what? But, we already know each other…Don't we?"
"But it's because we are both popular and we heard each other's name through other people. That's why we need to do it face to face. I'm going to start…Hi, it's nice to meet you, I'm Penelope." While extending a hand for a handshake.
Having no other choice but smiling because of the silly attitude the girl in front of her has, she eventually accepted the hand and said, "I'm Grace. Nice to meet you too…Penelope."
And that is the start of a life-long friendship.
GRACE'S POV
Waking up sluggishly…moving around my bed as the sunlight hits my face, I hugged the people beside me, using it as a shield from the sunlight. Hearing the birds outside I slowly opened my eyes and rubbed them sleepily. If I am right, I had a dream. Instead of a dream, it's a kind of memory.
A happy memory that somehow feels sad for some reason. Sitting up, but ended up laying on my bed again, looking at my ceiling and pondering about my dream. I and Penelope have gone through a lot I such a young age, don't we? We have endured a lot that every chance we can get to have the happiness we clasp it…but this time is different.
I know something's not right about the situation of my best friend and I'm not just going to let it pass. I'm going to make sure of it.
I miss you, Penelope. I hope we can work this out and talk again soon.
