Senani entered a cocoon. He and Fred remained in their cocoons for the next 6 months. His people were not idle, trade grew between all the lands under his domain. Caravans were established with goblin kin guarding many of them, new members flowed into each kingdom. New offers of alliance were extended. All the goblins also evolved into elites. Few in the lands did not hear of the name Goblin Overlord Senani, King of Solamnia. Senani's people put off agreeing to any alliances without first discussing with Senani. They had no desire to disrespect him after all he had already done for them.
Senani and Fred finally emerged from their cocoons. Fred had completely changed. He now looked like a Skeleton. The blue glow that had been only in his eyes now surrounded him. His aura was stronger than all the Tier 2 creatures they had thus far met. He went to the castle to speak to Senani, Maximus and Dmitri about his change.
Senani received a notification. "Congratulations, you now have an Overlord Covenant System." "Congratulations, you have obtained the land grant of the Lich Overlord System. Do you desire to integrate it with your current land grant? Yes or No?" Senani chose yes. He chose to integrate it with his own land grant, but he kept his original 207 acres separate. This land would be used as his training grounds and the seat of power of his empire. Senani did not appear to have changed physically. He looked the same as he had, however the aura he exhibited would make even Maximus fall to his knees. While technically he was still only a Tier 1 level 9, His body possessed the strength of Azriel, a level 9 Tier 3. Senani then spoke to Rikki-Tiki to see what had changed with his system. Rikki-Tiki said, "I am now artifact quality. The guild system has new features, all members will be able to communicate and write and send messages through your system. This will enable communication to occur even when beings are busy and cannot immediately respond. The guild has also been fully integrated with the guild system in the great world. You will be able to take and post quests from other worlds and guilds. And lastly, you have unlocked the guild grade and rank system. As you have taken no quests, you ranked a guild F.
The Goblin Overlord buff has been made significantly stronger. It now affects all members of House Sloth and your Covenants.
You have gained the new skill Library System AI. Library System AI: As an Overlord you can create an AI orb in your guild halls that will provide access to all the skills and information you have loaded into the Library.
Your Spirit Covenant has changed as well. Spirit Covenant: This active skill allows the user to create a Covenant with the spirit of a fallen enemy. Once a soul stone is chosen, the spirit can gain a solid form and will be immortal unless the soul stone is destroyed. If a Being possesses a spirit stone, the Overlord can force a Covenant by claiming the spirit stone.
Beyond that I am uncertain. It will take some time to examine." Overlord: Any beings in your Guild will increase intelligence at a rapid rate. This may lead to an evolution to elite or an entirely different species. You may designate a leader to be the Underboss of each species. This passive will extend to all creatures under their control and is also doubled on your Underboss.
Senani told Fred to come see him. When Fred arrived, Senani was amazed by his change. His power was incredible. Fred looked incredibly fearsome. Senani asked him to go to Gronmar and raise the dwarves that Senani told Duran he would raise.
Fred took the portal and went to Gronmar immediately. Upon arrival Duran took Fred to the bodies, Fred was able to raise the entire room in 15 minutes. His power was now extraordinary. Duran told Fred he would equip the Undead dwarves he would be sending to Senani and then bring them to him later that day. Fred went back to the castle to speak to Azriel and Dmitri.
At the same time as Fred was in Gronmar, Senani went to see Maximus, Dmitri, and Azriel. Senani needed an Underboss for Solamnia. He had one for the other species, but not for the humans. He needed the opinions of his most trusted advisors to find one. Upon discussion they had no suggestions for an Underboss. Temporarily, Azriel would be put in charge. Senani agreed. He then sent the castle back to its original location and requested all the undead builders from Gronmar as well as the undead humans build him a new palace where the old castle stood. Senani would continue to use the castle in Solamnia until his was completed.
Senani then summoned the leaders for each of the kingdoms under his rule. Surprisingly Boolah spoke first. Many strange creatures had been seen in Drowmere lately. He recruited those he was able. The kobolds and hobgoblins he recruited told him that they were merely a first excursion. They served dark elves, and the dark elves would be coming to claim Drowmere soon. Duran then responded; he had seen similar signs though those that had come to Gronmar were slain. The bodies were sent to the Mausoleum.
Fortunately, not all the news was bad. Zorin had received word from a large orc settlement nearby, they wished to form an alliance with House Sloth. Duran had received word from his brethren in the hills. 300 dwarven warriors and 200 dwarven citizens would be arriving any day with supplies and mining equipment. Gronmar would again be home to living dwarves. He assured Senani all the dwarves would be joining House Sloth. Kaz had increased his number significantly. He had even had some fellow minotaur's and ogres join. With the new recruits this put Senani's army up to over 13,000 strong. This was an impressive number. Senani told Zorin that he would meet with the leader of the orcs that wished to form an alliance in one months' time. Currently his focus was on the potential attack to Drowmere and Gronmar.
With that thought in mind, Senani called out to Red. If anyone knew what was coming it would be him. Red told Senani that some of the creatures that had System stones were from the place that would be attacking. He advised Senani to raise them and try to gain more information as he knew little.
Senani headed Reds advice and went back to the castle in Solamnia. The bodies were all being stored in the dungeon. Senani had a slightly different thought than Red however, he wanted to see if Azriel was the only spirit he would be able to see or if he would be able to see one from other corpses in that group.
When Senani arrived in the dungeon, he carried one of the corpses out into an open area. This one looked rather strange, it was a creature he had never seen or heard of. It had an octopus like head with a human shaped body. It was hard to tell what its skin looked like as it was armored on all but its head. The armor was jet black just like the armor of Dmitri. Senani touched the corpse and tried to remove the System Stone. As he had hoped a blue mist came out of the creature. It slowly formed into the shape of the corpse on the ground. It then spoke, "Insolent human, how dare you disturb my slumber? I shall speak to your master at once."
Senani replied while exerting the full power of his aura, "I am Overlord Senani, King of Solamnia. I have woken you with an offer of to live once more. But first, who are you? Where do you can from? What are you?"
The creature had been knocked to its knees and could no longer lift its eyes from the ground. It spoke, "Great Overlord, I have not heard of you. Forgive my folly. In my land humans are little more than slaves. I keep from the deep. I am what is known as a mind flayer. We and the dark elves rule the underworlds of the deep. I am of the Utlagi tribe, we were banished by our kindred. I am called Unagi."
Senani replied, "Unagi, you currently lie in my dungeon in Solamnia. You were retrieved from Gronmar near Drowmere. Do you know these places?"
Unagi replied, "Gronmar is the home of Red the dragon. Drowmere is the realm Red rules. I know this well, as that is where I died. How did you retrieve my body from Red?"
Senani said, "Gronmar is ruled by my Underboss, King Duran of the dwarves. Drowmere is ruled by another Underboss, Boolah of the goblin kin. Red is my undead ally and one of the trainers of my great army."
"Do you wish to activate a Spirit Covenant with the Mind flayer Death Knight known as Unagi?" Yes or No."
Senani chose yes. Unagi also chose yes without a second thought. Senani held out a fist sized Onyx and bound it to Unagi as her soul stone. He then extracted the System Stone from Unagi's body. Once Unagi had reformed he placed the system stone into Unagi. He then told Unagi to equip all her gear. Unagi complied. Senani then sent Unagi's body to his bedroom to be investigated later.
He then called 20 undead humans to separate the corpses. When they were done, he returned them to where they came from. He then had Unagi look through the corpses. There were around 30.
Unagi recognized the species of the 5th she looked at as being from the underworld and she informed Senani. This is a dark elf. I do not know this elf, but it may prove useful. Senani reached down to remove the elf's system stone. Again, a blue mist was emitted from the body and formed into the shape of the dark elf.
The dark elf spoke, "A dark knight mind flayer and her slave. Why have you woken me from my eternal slumber?"
Senani responded while releasing his aura, "You have that backwards. I am Overlord Senani, King of Solamnia, Ruler of Drowmere and Gronmar and master of Red. Who are you and why did you enter Gronmar?"
The dark elf spirit sank to its knees and could not lift its head. It replied, "I am Haren, Master Assassin of the Viper guildhall. I was sent on a contract to kill Red. As you can see, I failed. The Great Lich King wished to claim Gronmar for his own and Red for his army. He commands thousands of members of the slave races and a city of the undead in the Underworld. Even the dark elves do not dare to anger him."
"Do you wish to activate a Spirit Covenant with the dark elf Master Assassin known as Haren?" Yes or No." Senani chose Yes. Seeing the strength of Senani's Aura, Haren chose yes as well. Senani chose a ring sized Sapphire as her soul stone. When she formed, he removed her System Stone from her corpse and placed it in her new body. He then instructed her to dress in her old gear.
The other corpses present would have been considered among the slave races. The two did not feel they were worthy of much consideration. Senani removed each System Stone and placed them in his room in the castle. He would bring Azriel to pick which he desired. He then sent the corpses to Fred to revive. Senani then called Duran and Boolah to meet with him.
