Within the borders of where Solamnia had been they began to see large quantities of small footprints. Senani and the troop followed the trail as they truly needed funding. After following the trail for a few miles, they could see a large group of goblins dancing around a fire. There appeared to be around 80. Several carried staffs, and these surrounded a larger goblin with a large headdress. Senani assumed this to be the king. Several goblins were cooking some type of meat on sticks in the fire. They appeared to be having a jolly time. Senani summoned Bear and the wolves and had them spread out and surround the goblin camp. He then walked into the camp with Kaz and the guards. When the goblins noticed Senani's arrival they began to raise their weapons and prepared to charge. Senani had the wolves move into the light of the fire. He Kaz and the guards spread out and began to move forward as well. They struck down any goblins that came near. Seeing this the goblin king yelled for his minions to stop attacking and called for Senani to speak to him. Senani and his guards moved into the center of the camp to speak to the goblin king. He seemed rather smart for his species.
The goblin king said, "What you want?"
Senani responded, "You have invaded my lands. I am the King of Solamnia. I came to speak to you, and you attacked me. By all rights I should kill you all where you stand and take all your loot."
This clearly disturbed the goblin king, "Solamnia not there, big empty land now. You no king. Me king. We ally? Empty land goblins?"
Senani pondered this request for a while. Goblins were weak by nature, but could they be grown to be strong? If they could, this would be a surprise army against his enemies. Senani responded, "You are weak. Your tribe is weak. I will nearly kill you. If you agree to work for me, I will train your army. You will grow strong. You can live in the empty lands you desire. You will have to fight the other goblins. Grow your army. Your army will be my army." Senani then struck the king and touched his head. "Do you wish to activate a Death Bed Covenant with the Goblin King known as Boolah?" Yes or No. Senani chose Yes. Boolah accepted the Covenant. Senani then informed Maximus to expect the new recruits to train and Fred to raise the corpses and add them back to Boolah's army and then have all the goblins register with the guild. They both hesitantly agreed. Senani then transported the goblin camp and the wolves to the land grant near the Mausoleum. "Congratulations, you have unlocked the secret skill Goblin Overlord." Goblin Overlord: Any goblins in your Guild will increase intelligence at a rapid rate. This may lead to an evolution to elite goblin. You may designate a leader to be the Underboss of your goblins. This passive will extend to all creatures under their control and is also doubled on your Underboss. Senani obviously made Boolah his Underboss.
Senani, Kaz and the guards then continued in the direction of the orc encampment. If the orcs chose to attack, they would not be as easy as the goblins to recruit. As they moved closer to the orc camp, they began to hear battle. Senani and crew began to move slower, hoping to observe the battle without having to get involved. What they saw was less of a battle and more of a massacre. A small band of 10 orcs were slaughtering goblins by the dozen. Senani estimated that nearly 50 goblins had died, and a mere 2 orcs had fallen. While the orcs were obviously capable, the goblins were rushing out in hundreds. Senani looked for the leader of the goblin horde but was unable to locate them. So, he again summoned the wolves and he along with his minions charged in to aid the orcs. Upon seeing a stronger army arrive on seen the orcs were uncertain if they were friend or foe. Senani ordered his minions to stay far away from the orcs as he did not wish to kill them. He hoped helping them would aid him in getting into the encampment. Or possibly even give him new mercenary recruits.
Within moments the goblins began to retreat. Senani and his crew had slaughtered hundreds. Seeing that they did not intend to fight and hoping to later get the goblins to join Boolah's army, Senani allowed the retreat and put away his weapons. He telepathically ordered all his minions to gather the dead and their weapons into a pile, Orc, and goblin alike. He moved to speak to the large green orcs. Orcs looked a lot like humans only bigger, with tusks coming out of their mouth. One of the orcs moved forward to greet them. The orc said, "I am called Zall. We hail from the village of Thronmar to the west. We would have died were it not for your aid. We owe you our lives. Come to our village. We will throw a feast in your honor."
Senani responded, "It was our pleasure to aid you. I have never heard of Thronmar. We will gladly accompany you. I am King of the kingdom of Solamnia. The minotaur Kaz here is the leader of a mercenary group in the guild of House Sloth. Would you be interested in joining us?"
Zall said, "While I greatly appreciate the offer, I cannot accept. Our village has been under constant assault by the goblins from the mountains of Drowmere. Without us, Thronmar will fall."
Senani touched the pile of corpses and weapons teleporting them to the land grant. He also asked Bear to take the wolves home to the land grant as well and telepathically informed Fred of what was coming. Senani asked the Fred to revive the orcs first and place them under the command of Kaz. The goblins would take much more time and be under the command of Boolah.
When the wolves, bodies and weapons disappeared, Zall looked at Senani in amazement. He then began to head towards Thronmar, speaking privately with his fellow orcs. Senani and his crew followed along behind. They diligently watched the areas surrounding the road for goblins or other creatures. The trip to Thronmar was rather uneventful. No creatures were seen until they reached the village. Thronmar was quite small. At most it housed 50 orcs and had no walls for protection. Zall was right to say that they would be wiped out if he and his men were to join Senani.
