•Behind every favorite song, there is an untold story•
I lift up a picture of us, my fingers shaking for the excitement of the thought that I was going to see him again. My reflection smiled at me as I pulled out one of my necklaces, a gold chain with a heart hanging on it. The necklace was nothing much, but either way it was special for me.
"I see you're wearing the necklace I gifted you?" Mason asked wrapping his arms around me, my back on his chest as he rested his chin on my shoulder. I nodded,"It's a nice pendant."
Mason chuckled knowing it was a simple gift, but I cherished each one he gave me. "C'mon," he said, lightly tugging my wrist,"We don't want to be late, I know how eager you are to meet him."
I grin at Mason, letting him lead me out of my house and into his car. The whole ride to the Airport I fidgeted with my fingers, even when Mason slipped one of his hands onto mine. He pulled up in the parking lot and turned to me.
I took sharp intakes of breath attempting to overcome mixed emotions. What if he didn't want to be best friends with me because he found someone new? Mason could sense this and he squeezed my hand in reassurance.
"It'll be alright, you'll get to see him. It'll be like old times," He said, rubbing my palm.
"Yeah," I breathed. I looked at him in his green eyes. Warmth spread through my body as I had a sudden jolt to get out of the car.
Pulling Mason with me, I ran to the waiting area, where he was waiting there.
"Noah!"
I ran, letting go of Mason's hand and sprinted across to Noah, enveloping him into a hug, which he returned as his laughter could be heard.
"Now I just feel replaced," A voice said. I pulled out of the hug, grinning from ear to ear as I gave Mya a tight hug.
Mya was Noah's girlfriend. When I got introduced to her, the both of us became close friends. I gave her tips on what she should where on any occasion she was with Noah.
"Hey man," Noah said giving a small sharp hug to Mason. "I do hope you've taking good care of her."
"Of course," Mason said, doing the same, just adding a hard pat on the back.
The two of them were on good terms, but Noah always acted tough in front of Mason to show him that he could punch anyone at his own will.
Mason showed the same attitude, no man shows his weakness was what he told me. Their behavior just got me to role my eyes.
"So," I began, going in between the two to separate them. "What are the plans?"
I looked at Mya expectantly. She was the more organized one and would always plan out trips making sure they weren't late for anything.
"I've been away from my parents for pretty long. Noah and I have decided that I stay with them for a week," She said. "Then of course I musttt spend time with you."
I smiled at her. "I can't wait for our girl time." Mya smiled and winked at me,"You have fun till then."
The boys cleared their throat to gain our attention. "We're still here you know," Noah said wrapping his arm around Mya's waist are giving her a hug.
"Take care at your parents' house," I heard him murmer as he placed a kiss on her forehead. Mya immediately began to blush and she hit Noah's chest lightly. "Not in front of everyone."
Noah just grinned, not affected from her shyness. "Come on," He said,"I'll help you find a taxi."
"It's alright," Mason spoke up. "I can drop her."
"Really?" Noah asked, raising his eyebrow.
"Yeah man, I'm dropping you guys and Abbs anyway, I don't see a problem if she came along as well," He shrugged.
"Thanks," Noah said, nodding his head slightly.
We walked back to the car, the boys insisted on carrying the luggage. Mya and I had our hands together as well walked behind them.
"You've got to tell me everything you did there," I said to her.
Mya giggled. "We went there for studies, Abby," She said calling me by my nickname - which I prefered.
"That doesn't mean you only did studies," I said wiggling my eyebrows.
She giggled more and lightly pushing me. I chuckled. I had missed her presence so much.
I never really had friends except for Noah. Then Mason came along, we had met in the library. He had gone there to find books on engineering and bumped into me.
From then on we met in the library, a few occasions to study before we started meeting after school. I still remember like it was yesterday. Noah made sure he took a full interrogation of Mason, and it had turned out that he had a whole book of threats for when I found a guy.
That was when Mason asked me to be his girlfriend. We were at a Coffee shop when all that time. Mya had come to our table chewing gum, wearing an apron and hat on top of her clothes. Constantly clicking her pen and scribbling our order on the notepad, it was as if she was so confident.
You could practically see the light shining in Noah's eyes. Through the whole period we were at the shop, Noah flirted with her at every chance. When she brought us coffee he yelled pick-up lines at her till she was out of site.
It was only when Noah - after being a creep and going to that shop to order coffee every day - invited her to his home we found out that she had a whole different personality. I was there as well because Noah wanted my opinion towards Mya as well.
Mya had been so quiet and blushed every time Noah complimented her. She had been so kind to me. Next thing I knew, the both of us started hanging out, giggling in our rooms with late night movies - occasionally pranking Noah and blaming each other.
One thing I loved about Noah was that he treated us equally and made sure that I got as much attention when I needed it, which Mya supported.
I smiled. What would I do without Mason, Mya and Noah? They were the ones who accepted me and support me with any of my decisions. They were the sun to my life
"What are you smiling about?" Mason asked playfully as glanced sideways at me.
I rolled my eyes and looked out the window. "She's obviously thinking how much she's going to miss your abs," Mya giggled.
"I was not!" I exclaimed, turning red from the embarrassment and trying to hit Mya with my shoe.
"See," Mya pushed,"She's blushing."
If Noah hadn't stopped me, I would have took off my seatbelt to aim better at Mya. Mason chuckled while Noah rubbed my arm in order to calm me down. I muttered incoherent words under my breath.
Mason pulled up next to Mya's house. Noah got out of the car to help Mya with her bags and to bid her goodbye to her once again.
"So," Mason smirked,"Were you thinking of my abs?"
"Shut up," I flushed, looking anywhere but him. I focused on Noah, who was currently placing kisses all over Mya's face.
"Would you like me to do that?" Mason asked in a low voice right next to my ear. I had to cover my mouth in order to stop myself from screaming because of the shock.
If it were possible, I could have turned into a deeper shade red. Mason smirked and sat up straight while Noah got into the car, waving at Mya.
Once the car engine was turned on and we were passed her house, Noah sat properly in his seat.
At a glance, he narrowed his eyes suspiciously at us. "What happened here?" Noah asked.
"Nothing," I squeaked out. "Don't try anything Parker," Noah warned Mason. "I may have been gone for a few months but I still care about my Abby just the same."
"Of course, Miller" Mason said, referring to Noah. I shook my head at the two, I was never going to understand boys.
My apartment wasn't very far from Mya's house, so in ten minutes we had reached there. Mason gave me a hug and said that he would be seeing me in a week as well.
It made me smile that he was ready to let me spend time with Noah. After saying our goodbyes, Noah and I walked into the building.
The walls were plain white. There was a desk full of papers and an empty chair which belonged to the security guard.
The guy was getting payed for disappearing every five seconds with an excuse to get away from work each time.
I reached across and managed to get the file where we were meant to sign in as Noah made faces at the security camera.
I scribbled my name and time, leaving my signature on the paper as well. "Come on," I said walking towards the elevator.
Noah stuck his middle finger out at the camera before rushing towards me while pulling his suitcase.
"You're such I child sometimes," I said pushing the elevator button. Noah just stuck his tongue out at me,"I learned it from you."
His horrible comeback made me sigh, I would have to teach him basics all over again. Noah's time with Mya has really made him change, in a kind of good way, of course.
The elevator made a 'ding' sound indicating that we had gotten to the fifth floor. There were two side of this apartment, both connected with each other on the fourth floor. I lived on the right side, 'Wing A.'
I took out my key from my pocket which had a keychain labled 282 on it. I never understood the door numbering system, but I rolled with it.
"Nothing's changed," Noah chuckled as I swung open my apartment door.
I hadn't done much to decorate it as I was too lazy. It was simple. Two white couches, one vertically placed and the other horizontally, with a carpet and coffee table. A television right in front.
Then there was a small kitchen island, which meant no dining table as there wasn't much space anyways.
Two rooms and each one has another room connected to it for the bathroom.
"It's only been a few months, Noah," I said rolling my eyes.
"Keep rolling your eyes and you might just find a brain back there," Noah replied. This comment made me push him as hard as possible. Too much effort put into the push, but Noah didn't even move a bit.
Instead he decided to push me, which ended up with me landing roughly on the couch.
"So, what do you want to do?" Noah asked.
"Wanna have a movie marathon just like old times?" I suggested with a sparkle in my eye.
Noah nodded eagerly. I giggled a bit at his reaction
"Go have a shower and changed first," I said standing up. "I'll go order food and set up our fort."
"Yes ma'am," Noah saluted and went into the guest bedroom.
I took my phone out of my pocket and dialed the pizza's delivery number.
"Hello, Papa's Pizzeria here, what would you like to order?"
"Hey, may I please order two large vegetable pizzas and two cans of cokes?" I ordered.
There was the sound of typing for a few seconds. "Alright, your order has been placed, is here anything else you would like to have?" The lady on the other side of the call asked.
"Umm," I thought for a moment,"No that's it thank you."
"Alright, your order will be delivered soon, have a great day!"
"Thanks," I replied and cut the call.
Now that the food part had been finished, I closed the curtains so there was no source of light coming in and the room had gone dark.
Noah emerged with the mattress and a few blankets wrapped around his shoulder.
"That was a quick shower," I said suspiciously.
He rolled his eyes,"Just thought I should help you with this first before you shout at me to hurry up."
I grabbed the keys from the table and threw it at him, completely missing.
Noah dropped the things on the floor and began wheezing knowing that it would annoy me.
I sighed loudly and started on the fort. I moved the coffee table and used my power to set the mattress properly. I grabbed a few pins and haor ties from my room, beginning to tie them o the blankets. Using the stools, I fixed is alright.
Noah emerged once again.
"Set up the movie, I'll go see if the pizza has arrived," He said. I nodded and turned on the television.
Not minutes later, Noah came back with two pizza boxes and the two cans of coke. I grinned as he sat besides me.
This was going to be the coolest movie marathon ever.
