On Earth, there was the birth of a child who seemed perfectly normal at first. However, after he fainted during a school day, he became completely emotionless. Doctor's said that something was inhibiting his brains responses to anything that had to do with emotion. He still had his five senses, but he wouldn't register fear, happiness, rage, sadness, or any other emotion. Curiously, they couldn't find anything inside or outside his body that could cause such an effect, and it was only made weirder by the fact that things that would normally be categorized as an emotion, such as hunger, would stop being suppressed if they had to do with survival. Hunger was always left on, but if he realized that he had to experience happiness or sadness to survive, then he would no longer have it suppressed.
His family was fanatic about Christianity, and viewed him as a spawn of Satan, to the point that his own mother committed suicide due to both her own feelings and the abuse of people close to her. Unfortunately, when he felt nothing from her death, it only reaffirmed their accusations. One day, something unexpected happened. His sister, who had dearly loved his mother and even him before the incident, snapped. She laughed maniacally, saying that this was "in the name of God" and that she would "cleanse him from this world." She grabbed a knife and ran at him, straight towards his heart. He should have felt something like desperation or fear, but for some reason, whatever inhibited him continued even when his life was on the line. As the knife pierced him, his vision darkened and he felt a sudden vertigo before feeling nothing.

In another world, two figures conversed quietly.
"It's almost time. The Laws of Fate are almost at their thinnest. Are you ready?"
The first man, wearing a black robe, asked the other, who was wearing a dark gold robe, the question. The one in gold showed a small smile.
"Of course, Victor. After all, twenty years of planning went into this. Soon, our Lord's plan shall be enacted. But that's enough talking. After all, I doubt you've forgotten with that memory of yours. Anyways, I need to focus. I'll see you after the ritual is over."
The man in black gave a small chuckle at the joke about his memory, reminiscing in the past for a few seconds before leaving the man in gold to his devices. The man in gold raised his hands, and the floor of the room began to change. A thick mist surrounded him as the man saw the illusion of a lake in total darkness. Nothing but the lake existed. And in this weird state, he stepped into the lake. However, there was no underwater part. instead, he walked out of the lake and all around him were ever-changing chains. The "Strings of Fate" that bound every creature. But he moved past all of these until he found a small crack. At the thinnest point of the Laws of Fate, he could peer into the Strings from another world. He quickly put his hand through, grabbing the nearest chain, before yanking on it. He found his strength drained quickly and the illusion quickly disappeared, but a smile formed on his face. It had worked.

In a world filled with twinkling stars there sat a large orb. Upon closer inspection, it is a prison. Inside, a fragment of a soul that looks like a piece of shattered glass, begins to spin around slowly. Ominously. Nearby, a large dragon looking similar to those of Eastern mythology, opens its eyes. Having sensed the weird reactions from the soul fragment it flies over to the prison before widely opening its eyes at the spectacle it witnesses. Next to the fragment, a crack in space, not unlike the spiderwebs found upon breaking glass, Suddenly, a pure white orb covered in blackish-purple lines. A soul. Before the dragon could do anything, the fragment attached itself to the soul and another crack in space formed, with the soul entering it. The cracks were quickly mended, but due to the unpredictability of spatial teleportation without coordinates, they could be anywhere at this point. The dragon quickly drew a magic circle, and another crack formed, swallowing the dragon before disappearing like the others.
Meanwhile, the soul flew for what seemed like forever in the tunnels of space. Eventually, however, they passed by a dimension with much more stable Laws of Space. Without any magic powering it, the spatial tunnel created by the crack in space quickly stabilized, ejecting the soul. However, as if fate willed it, the soul was ejected by a gathering of mana. Originally, this would have turned into a monster - a slime, in fact. However, the soul interrupted the process. As it landed inside the cloud of mana, the dormant soul fragment that attached itself to the soul began to let out its power. It had a weird attractive force, and caused more mana to gather around. From the gathering of an F-rank monster to that of a C-rank, the mana was then absorbed by the fragment and given a new form. Due to the original mana's imprint of a slime, it could only become a slime. However, this slime was different. It was entirely black, but still transparent like normal slimes. Its cells were filled with 5 times the magic power of a normal slime's cells. And once the body finished forming, the soul woke up.
