"Anything you want, Ludmila." His answer was seductive and innocent at the same time.
Why was it so fun being with him?
I bit my lip trying to hold back my giggle. "You seem overconfident, don't you? What if I want to play scrabble right now?"
"Then we are going to play scrabble. Do you think Morgan keep any scrabble board in this room?" He answered with a serious tone, but his eyes were filled with laughter.
I giggled like a sixteen-year-old in front of him. His eyes crinkled and a smile played at the corner of his mouth. "That's the most pleasant sound I've ever heard."
My giggle died instantly and something was blossoming in my chest. This selfish, yearning desire to have this man for myself came suddenly from out of nowhere. Were we ever strangers? I wasn't sure we were. From the start, there was only fire between us.
My pulse raced to catch up with my thoughts. Enough with scrabble, I wanted to kiss this man so bad. "Is it okay to kiss you right now?"
"There's no need to ask, Ludmila." He tilted his head back slightly as if waiting for me to kiss him.
"Unlike a certain someone, I always ask when I want to kiss." I stared shyly at him through my lashes.
"How admirable," he replied dryly but the smile still stayed on his gorgeous face. "Hurry up and kiss me already, you little tease."
I grinned a little. "Don't rush me, Moran."
I grabbed his face with one hand because my other hand was still in his grip and brought my face closer to him. Sebastian closed his eyes slowly, I never knew a man could have such long lashes.
His warm breath and mine blended into one. I licked my lips and brushed them lightly into his waiting lips. I could hear his breath hitching softly.
"Don't tease me," he murmured into my lips. A second warning.
"My kiss... my rule, Moran," I murmured back while half-kissing him.
Suddenly Sebastian put his hand on the back of my head and he was kissing me back — an open-mouthed kind of kiss. And he kissed like a desperate man. The wasn't a moment of hesitation. He devoured me with his hot mouth and I melted into him instantly.
His tongue plunged into my mouth forcefully, taking my sanity along with the last defense I had for this man. I fell hard and sparked alive, my heart swelled to the point of near bursting. Nothing ever felt like this before.
I gasped and moaned helplessly while his body shuddered. It was scary and thrilling at the same time.
I was supposed to be the one kissing him. However, I didn't think I could top his intense kiss. My body was sizzling with desire, every place his hands and lips touched were burning me alive.
His lips, his scent, his heat, his hard body, everything about him was irresistibly enticing for me. I felt like a moth drawn to a flame.
But it was over so suddenly.
Sebastian pulled his face abruptly and I tried to follow his lips shamelessly.
"Someone is here," he whispered tersely.
My body tensed up immediately, that's when I hear a clicking sound from the door. I was standing with my back on the door so I couldn't see the person who just got inside and Sebastian held my hips firmly before I could turn my back.
The heavy silence was deafening. My heart was thundering hard in my chest, panicking that we had just got caught making out in Phillip's study.
What if it's Arthur... or worse, what if it's Phillip himself?
But when I saw Sebastian's dark scowl I knew it wasn't Arthur or Phillip.
"Get out, Shaw."
Shaw... Nicholas Shaw?! What's he doing here?
"You son of a bitch," replied the man in a disbelief tone.
Sebastian gave him a long, cold stare. "Get the fuck out."
"So it's true. You were messing our plan over a woman? Can't you just fuck her and get over it quickly instead of screwing up everything?" His disgusted voice made me flinch a little.
Sebastian lifted his lip contemptuously, it made his face look even more menacing and scary. "Shut your mouth."
I couldn't avert my eyes from a lipstick smudge on the corner of his curled up lip. "Moran, let me go," I whispered calmly.
He didn't let me go.
"Sebastian you have lost your mind! Do I have to step in and clean up your mess too?!" Nicholas Shaw's voice now sounded closer.
"Get out!" Sebastian suddenly barked at him. I flinched in surprise again and his hands were gripping my hips more tightly as if he didn't want me to turn around.
"Oh, no. I'm going to finish this problem right now, it seems I am the only one around here who still have some common sense."
Why was he standing right behind me... I could hear Nicholas Shaw's dangerously low voice as if he was whispering into my ear right now, and somehow it sent a chill down my spine.
"Let's give the reporter what she wants to know about Volder, shall we?"
That did catch my attention.
I turned my head slightly. But before I could see Shaw, Sebastian pushed me aside quite hard. My body bumped into the nearest bookcase and I tumbled down instantly while my head hit the sharp edge of Phillip's desk quite strongly.
BANG!
Pain exploded in my head. It hurt so much that tears started to fill my eyes. I blinked several times when dark spots appeared in my vision.
I thought I hear a commotion, some growls and loud thuds, but I couldn't focus because my ears were still ringing in my head.
I was curling near the desk, trying not to pass out from the acute pain and something was trickling down slowly on my temple.
Where's Sebastian... I thought in the middle of my pain. I gave up and finally closed my eyes.
Of course, I didn't faint. I was just closing my eyes for a moment to tone down my pain. The ringing was fading considerably, but the pain was still blaring in my head.
"Where is she?"
I could hear Sebastian's panicking voice. He shoved me so hard yet he didn't even realize I tumbled down and hit Phillip's desk. My head throbbed so painfully I couldn't reply to his voice or open my eyes yet.
"She's here," Nicholas Shaw answered grumpily. "I think she passes out."
"Don't you touch her, you bastard," Sebastian's voice suddenly came from beside me. "She's bleeding." I could feel his fingers touching my temple cautiously. Somehow I could picture his furious face staring at me right now.
"You're going to pay for this, Shaw." He growled viciously.
Should I just open my eyes now?
"You were the one who — You know what? Fuck this! How much does she know about us? Devlin said she planted an audio recorder in your private office?" Nicholas Shaw pressed him with an exasperated tone.
"I'll take care of her after I'm done, so fuck off." Sebastian snarled back at him.
A hiss came out from Nicholas Shaw. "No, not later. Wipe her memory now, or I'll do it myself. You know how painful it can be if I'm the one who's doing it."
What were these two talking about? 'Take care of me'? 'Wipe my memory'? Were they talking in codes?
Was Sebastian planning to kill me? That thought made me feel cold on the inside.
