After falling along with Brook underground and landing in awkward positions, Brook had hit the ground first and taken a critical hit-making him extremely weak. Naomi had landed head first and was currently bleeding underneath her left eye with a huge gash across her cheeks.
Currently, she couldn't heal due to whatever Brook had injected in her during her traumatic experience with him. The injury will surely leave a scar and with both of them being weak they were both at a great disadvantage.
Both struggling to stand up still wanting to end this fight. Naomi felt weak but her determination was greater, if she hadn't intervened when she did her mother would have died by now and she wasn't ready to let Brook go free and end up completing his mission of taking her mother's life.

Hanging his head in shame, he knew what he did was bad but his initial intentions were pure but due to another resident that resides inside of him he had done the unthinkable. Touching the ashes a black smoke appeared aiming straight at him before entering his body sending him a few steps back. In his head, he could hear his Brother's voice.

That was all he heard before blanking out. Herold became the controller of Brooks's body from time to time. Although sometimes he couldn't stay for a whole day he would have to stay from hour to hour, both were taking shifts.
Making a deal with the witches just so he could come back to life and get his rightful death. He had a hatred for Naomi and he was going to get his revenge one way or the other. He wanted her dead but felt like it was an easy punishment so he came up with this shameful solution.
Brook was planning his way to help Naomi escape his brother's wrath when it was his turn to take over. He had been experimenting on a way to make Naomi stronger with her being an Hafling. He had been undergoing this experiment since the day she was born, he knew she will have a lot of challenges to face especially with being the only heir to the throne.
He wanted to make her stronger without her being a full-fledged vampire but he needed some things which weren't available yet but knowing his Brother's plan, he wants to get the materials before it was too late. That was how Brook began his secret plan without his Brother's knowledge.
The experiment was known to him as "Brid-0.001" The project wasn't complete because it hasn't undergone the testing process but time wasn't at their side and he needed to give her the power she needs especially after seeking the seers help and knowing her future encounters also.

Whatever happened underground was never spoken of and Brook decided to leave when he felt his brother steer awake. Giving the shocked girl a peck he turned disappearing into the dark cave.
Naomi sat down and processed his words " So I'm a test subject of a new experiment? How does that even work!? " she has no idea how the mysterious power works but she does know it's working with her emotions. Hearing a loud cry from her mother, she knew and could feel her wings popping out jumping she flew out of the cave.
Silver was bleeding from her nose and her eyes were changing colors. She felt weak and sick she couldn't make out people's faces but she knew she had a lesser chance of living. But silver wasn't having it, feeling her daughter's hand grasp hers made her feel a bit better.
So many things have happened in the past months and all Naomi could care about was the fact that everyone she loves was perfectly fine and healthy except for her mother.
Naomi's mother has gotten worse and it felt like she would be leaving them soon and due to the incident, they've been a lot of threat over the kingdom. They wanted revenge for the last war since most of their coven members died but what they wanted most was the throne. Naomi will be coming of age and still they hadn't made a decision about when her coronation would be, it's like they didn't want her as their Queen.
