The first ray of sunlight illuminated the Colossal mountain forest.
A man was standing on the edge of the Nameless cliff in a set of black robes with an oversized white haori.
His long, light green hair was rippling in the breeze, complimented by his banished immortal aura, truly making him look like a peerless deity shrouded in mystery when one peer into his Spirit eyes.
This figure was none other than Zhu Dingxiang, as he knots the near end of his long green hair to hold them together.
Zhu Dingxiang looks around his surroundings with little Chibi floating beside him, looking left and right curiously.
In front of them were towering old trees around 35 meters in height, with many green plants and blossoms that stretched as far as the eyes could see. There are the sounds of insects buzzing in the grassy bushes and birds chirping on the towering trees.
As the sun continued scaling, it ceaselessly sent golden beams of brilliance into every direction, illuminating the woods and hills, one by one.
The reflection of the light on the dew-laden grass looked grander and purer than any crystals and jades showcased in those high-end jewelry stores.
He took a moment to appreciate this incredible painting from Mother Nature. While marching forward and listening to the birdsongs, he breathed deeply.
White upon the new day's grass, sparkling in those first rays of the sun, the dew brings a brightness that is warming somehow.
Zhu Dingxiang turns to see the gentle imprints of his feet, whispering the direction of his journey.
In this forest, he leaped on a branch of wood and leaves, among the giants whose roots hug the earth.
He could catch faint roars from many places which belong to beasts who dwell with the delightful noises of flowing water and bird songs.
'Somehow this is more home than home..., perhaps one day I'll learn why.' Zhu Dingxiang thought he jumped to different branches, traversing between other trees to explore the forest's middle layer as little Chibi excitedly followed him from behind.
There are numerous early/middle Stage 1 and even some early-stage two spiritual beasts of all kinds.
Even though they all have beast cores in them, and Zhu Dingxian was currently broke and destitute.
He wouldn't just kill them recklessly and take their core because, well...
He was an animal lover in his past life, and he is still one now. So unless they pose a threat or look bloodthirsty and recklessly attacking him, he would instead leave them alone, maybe after he took their treasures.
After half a day of exploring, Zhu Dingxiang has picked a lot of common wild herbs. He was able to identify them partly due to Tang San's memories and primarily due to Jarvis.
When he looks at something, some basic of its information would appear in front of him through a holographic screen whenever he wants.
From Tang San's memories, Zhu Dingxiang has some fundamental knowledge about this forest.
This place is called Colossal Mountain Forest, and in the center, there is a huge mountain that is more than 50 kilometers tall. It is also the dwelling place of the whole forest's overlord, who is rumored to be at the peak of stage 4 spiritual beast.
The forest is vast and covers over 6 million miles square, almost as big as Russia back on earth.
Its boundaries are connected to 4 big empires, namely the Iron Bull empire to the North, Thunderbird empire to the East, Blue wind empire to the south, and Sacred flame empire to the West.
Zhu Dingxiang was currently around the border of the inner layer separating from the forest's outer part.
While he was picking up herbs, Zhu Dingxiang suddenly feeling hungry. For the last one month, Zhu Dingxiang and little Chibi didn't eat anything ever since he stepped into the Qi-Condensations realm.
Both he and little Chibi have lived reliant on the small pond of water under the cliff formed by the rains throughout the years. While absorbing the Nature Spiritual-Qi refined from his martial spirit.
Consequently, without cultivating while traveling for half a day, feeling hungry is natural.
Zhu Dingxiang followed the sound of flowing waters and arrived at a small brook. There are many fat and juicy fishes. Some carp arcing into the air, their bodies shimmering, they hovered temporarily before quickly swallowing down the thumb-sized flies. Then, with a plunking sound, they would dart back to the shadowed depths; the flies were already safe in their spotted bellies.
Zhu Dingxiang eyeing those fat fishes for a moment before walking toward the stream then scooped a hand through the pure and glassy water and drank his fill.
'It was thirst-quenching!' Zhu Dingxiang mused as he looks at little Chibi, jumping in and out of the cool water in excitement, and starts waltzing around with the fishes.
He channeled his Qi and shouted out "Vine net" as many green vines suddenly start to grow out from the shore before woven together, rushed into the water, and caught two big, one mid-sized carp before pulling up.
The carps are almost one meter long and weighed around 90 pounds with beautiful silver scales, an incredible size to be caught in this small stream.
"Well, I suppose this is typical in a cultivation world where spiritual Qi is abundant." He said.
Zhu Dingxiang then lit up a small fire before cleaning the three fishes and started grilling. As dense fragrant filled the area, he took one grilled fish and gave it to little Chibi, and the little small turtle started to chomping the fish down in a large mouthful while wagging its little tail.
As Zhu Dingxiang also take a bite, he was surprised by its refined and sweet flavor between the balanced combinations of meat and fat.
The fish umami exploded in his mouth, and he feels as if his spring has arrived while drooling for more. Zhu Dingxiang finished the grilled fishes before looking at the fish bones in a daze.
Sighing to himself as he mutters, "it's good to be alive."
