Chapter 4 - Execution Part 2

A woman opened the door. The woman looked thirty-five years old. She was wearing plain clothes. She looked like she was busy with something.

The woman said, "Who are you? Do I know you?"

James looked down and said, "Oops, it fell out of hand again."

James then picked up the wallet and said, "I believe this wallet belongs to your family."

The lady asked James if he could give her the wallet. James gave the woman the wallet. At first she carefully observed the wallet and then looked inside the wallet. After looking inside the wallet, the woman looked as happy as she was surprised.

She told James, "I don't know who you are or how you got this wallet and I don't want to know. But thank you so much for bringing this wallet. I can't tell you how grateful we are."

James laughed and said, "Just don't thank me. Thanks also to the one who is above us. He has done most of the work. "

Aelius was listening to everything. Hearing all this, Aelius started laughing softly. He had a smile on his face but anger was on his face.

She asked, "Will you come in? My husband will be home shortly. He will be very happy to meet you."

James looked inside the room and saw a three year old child playing and she looked very tired. So he refused the offer. The woman asked, "Can I help you with something?"

James said, "If you want to help me, you can help me by telling how you lost your wallet?"

The woman replied, "Oh! It's not my wallet. This is my husband's wallet. He worked as a guard at the magistrate's house. He lost this wallet the day he got paid four days ago. "

As the woman finished her sentence (she was about to say something more), James said, "I'm sorry. I have to go somewhere. I completely forgot about it. I'd love to hear your whole story, but I have to go now."

The woman said, "All right. Thank you again for the help. And if you have free time, come to our house. Come in the evening, then you can meet my husband. "

Then the woman closed the door.

James then said, "You can come down now."

Aelius came down from the roof and started walking towards the market.

James followed him and said, "You're not angry with me? I thought you'd be angry with me."

Aelius said, "I was angry. But I thought it was pointless to be angry at a child. And why are you following me again? "

James looked at Aelius in such a way that it seemed as if James's heart was broken by Aelius's words. James gritted his teeth and said, "I'm not following you. I have to go this way to reach my destination. "

Aelius said, "You're lying again."

James said, "I'm not lying. I came to this town to meet your father. "

Aelius was surprised. Aelius said, "How do you know who my father is?"

James laughed and said, "Once I worked under your father. He was like a mentor to me. I could not come at the time of your birth. So, I've never seen you before but I knew your name."

Aelius said, "So, you knew my father."

James said, "Yeah."

They both started walking. As the afternoon wore on, they entered the market.

James said, "I was wondering why you wear a hood. But slowly I began to understand why a boy your age is always wearing a hood. Most people in this town probably know you, don't they? And you don't want anyone to know about your adventure."

Aelius said, "Yes. I don't want people to see me do this kind of thing. Because I don't want my father to know about it. "

James said, "You helped the guard of your mansion find his wallet. This is a good work. You don't have to hide it. "

Aelius took a deep breath and said, "I know. But I don't want my father to worry about me. He has no one else in the world but me. "'

After James heard the answer, James said nothing more. They were walking through the market.

Suddenly Aelius said, "Have you felt it too?"

James said solemnly, "Yes. What's going on here ? "

After a few moments all the people around them (James and Aelius) stopped walking and started talking to each other. Many of them had a look of fear on their faces. The surrounding houses began to tremble.

James looked down. He saw the dust around his feet are moving.

James said, "The soil is shaking more than before."

Then they all heard a loud sound.

James said, "I know this sound. I have heard this sound before. It is played when the Earl enters a town or palace.

Aelius asked, "What is the Earl doing in this town?"

People walking on the market street went to both sides of the road. The market streets became completely empty.

Aelius saw the armies entering the market. He saw four soldiers walking with musical instruments made of horns.

After them two soldiers were coming on their horses. Both the type and the color of their clothing were different from those of other soldiers (usually the Royal Army of the Fire Kingdom wear red uniforms).

The body of one of the two was huge and he was riding in a six-horse carriage. He was standing and driving the horse-drawn carriage. There was a Lochaber axe next to him (The axe was very huge). His horse-drawn carriage was made entirely of iron. He had an iron helmet on his head and the clothes he wore were also made of iron. There were three feathers attached to his helmet (colour of the feathers were orange). His appearance and skin were not visible for his helmet and dress. His helmet and clothes were dark black.

The other one looked like any other soldiers. But he was wearing plain clothes and the color of the clothes he was wearing was Navy Blue. There were two black feathers drawn in his cloth(on chest). His hair was big and he had a mustache. He had a Gisarme (A medieval weapon consisting of a blade mounted on a long staff ) in one hand.

Suddenly James said, "The first two soldiers are Earl's right-hand man and left-hand man. Three feathers symbolize the left-hand man of the Earl and the two feathers symbolize the right-hand man of the Earl."

Aelius said, "Then the old man who is riding behind them is the Earl. Because I see a black feather on his forehead. "

James said, "Yes. You are right. He is the Earl of our country."

Earl's aura was different. It seemed that the angel of death was standing on top his head and protecting his soul. His hair and beard were long. There was a big scar on his face. Such a big scar Aelius had never seen in anyone's face before.

James asked, "Oh, you need to know another thing. The color of their feathers indicates what kind of fire they use."

As long as Aelius and James were talking, the army reached out to them. Aelius saw after the Earl there was about two hundred soldiers on horseback and about a hundred soldiers on foot. They were all stepping on the same rhythm. Everything around was shaking for this. The strange thing was that a hundred soldiers (all of them had large bodies) were pulling something with chains. They all had chains in their hands and everyone was giving their full strength to drag something. People were eager to see what the soldiers were pulling.

Aelius asked, "What do you think the soldiers are pulling?"

James replied, " I think they're bringing criminals."

Aelius laughed and said, "Are you kidding?"

James said, "What! Do you think I'm kidding? Then let's see if I'm right or wrong. "

Aelius and James then climbed onto a roof and looked at the end of the chain.

They saw that a hundred soldiers were dragging only one person.

The person was sitting on the ground. One hundred soldiers tied him in 100 shackles and dragged him with all their might. And behind that man about a thousand soldiers were aiming bows at him.
