''Mam, you don't need to pay''. The owner of the ice cream shop said.
Ash asked, ''Why?''
The owner said, ''It's just that you don't need to pay today. I hope you enjoyed the ice cream and we would love it if you visit here again''.
Ash confusingly looked at that man and thought that she paid here every day then why is this man asking her not to pay today.
On the other hand, the owner didn't let her pay because Archer already paid for her before leaving. When he paid for his order, he paid for Ash as well and asked the owner to keep his mouth shut and not to tell her. That poor man was bound not to tell anything or else the devil would kill him.
Ash was also stubborn, she stood there and fiercely asked, ''Tell me the reason why I shouldn't pay today?''
The owner kept quiet but when he noticed that Ash was firm and she wouldn't be satisfied with what he told her, so he said, ''Someone already paid for you''.
''Who?'' Ash asked.
The owner kept quiet but his sight moved to the glass window where he could see a man with broad shoulders standing. His back facing them and he was on the call with someone.
Ash followed the sight and became curious who that man was because she didn't notice Archer's clothes a while ago when he came here.
Ash waved her hand to the little kids with a smile on her face and dashed out of the ice cream shop. When she came out, she saw the man still standing there on call. She couldn't see his face but she could scent him.
Ash understood that it was Archer. She didn't want to talk with him, so she simply turned around to go.
Archer was busy talking on his phone when he smelled a similar scent. He turned around and saw Ash walking away towards her car.
He kept staring at her back. It was slowly raining.
She unlocked her car and before getting in she glanced at Archer with sad expressions on her face and noticed that he was also staring at her.
Archer's expressions were unreadable.
They both kept staring at each other through distance but she broke the stare and opened the car door. Ash was lost in her thoughts and didn't realize that she was so close to the door. When she opened it with a little force, the sharp tip of the door hit her forehead on the left side.
Ash winced in pain as she closed her eyes and held her hand on her forehead.
Archer when saw how she hurt herself, couldn't stop himself and ran towards her.
He held her head and tried to look at her forehead but Ash took a step backwards and said, ''What are you doing?''
''Why are you so stubborn and careless as well?'' Archer asked her and he pulled her closer and blew air off her forehead.
''Why do you care?'' Ash asked.
''I don't care but still, humanity didn't die inside me''. Archer replied her.
Ash pushed him and said, ''This humanity of yours will create a problem for me. People are staring around so leave''.
Archer looked at her and said, ''Since when did you start caring about what people would say?''
''It's of no use to argue with you''. Ash said and sat inside the car and started the engine.
Archer came back to his car and sat inside. He cursed himself that why did he even go towards her? But his heart ached upon seeing her in pain.
He drove back home but still, Ash's face came in front of him when she looked at him with a sad expression on her face.
He shrugged off all the thoughts from his mind and went back home.
