After some time, Liang felt something was not right. He realized Ash had stopped struggling. He felt something warm and moist on his shirt, though he was drenched he could feel her warm tears on his body.
Liang stopped kissing her to take a look, his breath still heavy.
Ash's eyes were closed and tears were falling down her eyes. She stood like a statue. Seeing her crying and in pain, he came back to his senses and released her hands and took a few steps back.
The heavy rain and the sound of thunder grew larger and frightening. He felt a deep pain inside his heart and felt like it was pierced into two. He didn't know what to do or what to say. Right now he tried to assault her by forcefully marking her.
Ash slowly opened her teary eye's when she realized he had retreated. She had painful expressions on her face and felt disgusted. No one in her life ever tried to force her like this but today the man she thought was someone she knew did this to her.
Being burning in anger, she moved towards him with a lightning speed and slapped him on his left cheek with all her might. She quickly took her steps back and ran towards her car making her way through the heavy rain.
While running on the road, her foot slipped and she stumbled and fell hurting her bare knees and palm but she managed to stand up. She ran again as if she was chased by monsters and she had to protect herself.
Liang watched her running and then tripping but she retreated. He wanted to run to her and pick her up in his arms. He felt pain in his heart as he saw her hurt delimit making its way through the rain. He stood there like a frozen iceman and didn't move.
She somehow managed to reach her car, she hurriedly entered inside it and turned on the engine. She drove at full speed and moved away from that place. When she felt that she came far away from the hillside area, she stopped the car and placed her head on the steering wheel and cried all her heart out.
Time passed as she sat there crying. Her eye's swollen and red and her puffy nose. Her lips were dry. She was drenched badly but didn't felt cold. She was lost, confused about where she should go now.
Since Archer passed away nine years ago, Ash never thought about her own life anymore. She was young, only twenty-two years old at that time, she devoted her life to the protect people and things he left instead of starting a new life.
Her love for Archer, her right full mate was something that would never end even though he was not around her anymore but, still, his memories were giving her enough reason to live alive.
Increasing the temperature inside the car, she drove back to her residence, 'Smith Mansion'.
When she reached the mansion, the night was already setting. The guards opened the gates for her and greeted her. She stepped out and a wave of chilly air passed through her making her teeth chatter. She crossed her arms around her and ran inside the mansion.
Upon reaching her room, she took off her shoes. Water was seeping through her clothes. She went inside the bathroom, took off her clothes and turned on the hot shower.
She remembered the incident from the hills area and felt disgusted. After her husband's death, Ash tried to protect herself from the hungry world but today she was on the verge of being destroyed by the person she cared for and brought up.
She opened her eyes and reached out her hand to get the shampoo bottle and rubbed it against her body again and again as she cried.
She stared at herself through the mirror on the front wall and felt disgusted as she rubbed her lips again and again.
After Archer's death, she never let anyone kiss her. Her lips were sealed with Archer's last kiss. She remembered how Liang kissed her, she rubbed her face, her neck and noticed a deep hickey over there.
After being in the shower for about an hour, she felt a little relaxed and came out after wearing her nightdress. Sitting on the edge of her bed, her sight fell on the small picture frame placed on the bedside that was her honeymoon picture with Archer.
In that picture, Ash was wearing a yellow laced dress up her knees and Archer was wearing a simple formal grey suit. He had wrapped his arms around her and was smiling pleasantly while looking at her.
She stepped towards the picture and held it in her hand and cried.
''Why Archer? Why did you leave me? I told you not to leave me and you promised to protect me? You broke your promise and left me to cope alone in this scary world. You are a liar. I hate you. I hate you. Please come back and take me along with you''.
She held the picture frame close to her heart and cried. After lying down on the bed with the frame still sticking close to her chest, she mumbled,'' I miss you, Archer. Please come back. please''. Holding it close to her, mumbling his name she closed her eyes and slept as she was too tired because of the exhausting day.
