Two more battles progressed, and it was finally Mei Ling's turn. "Little Ling, you can do it! Remember to hold back. If you have to, just use your fists."
"I will do my best…." Mei Ling pursed her lips. She waved at everyone as she began walking toward the stage. She could already see her opponent standing there waiting for her. She was a tall girl with a sword on her hip. She also had a look of determination in her eyes. Mei Ling hoped she would not give up as soon as the battle started. Otherwise, she wouldn't even have a chance to actually fight.
Mei Ling walked up onto the stage with her head lowered. When she stood on her side of the battle stage, the girl on the other side suddenly spoke up. "Don't think I will be like the others! Even if you did kill those other trash, that has nothing to do with me. I will win and proceed to the next round!"
Mei Ling raised her head and saw the girl's determined eyes, and smiled. "Then I will be in your care."
