The next morning Kana stretched her arms and hopped down from her tree. She cultivated all night and could feel she was only a tiny bit away from breaking through. But she would not be able to do it without a decent fight to breach that last hurdle. One thing Kana realized about cultivation was that it was a method of strengthening the body through means of masochism. While she did think this, she still had to admit that the results were well worth the pain she had to go through. She did feel many times stronger after reaching the peak of stage twelve of body fortification.
Kana made her way through the forest, not stopping for the rank one demonic beasts that she passed. Most ignored her or quickly ran away when they sensed her rank two beast core. It was not until she traveled for half a day did she finally run into a higher ranked demonic beast.
