"Failed again!" Kana sighed as she took the flattened sheet of metal and tossed it back into the forge before blowing more fire on it. The light of her flames lit up the room and reflected off her pearly white skin. She had lost count of how many times she had failed so far. She first tried to forge some soft metal into a shirt using her normal forging technique. But she kept failing to fuse spiritual qi into the metal to change its properties.
The fusing process required spiritual qi to follow a certain path and form runic patterns at different points in the metal to create a kind of array that made the metal soft but still kept its normal durability. Although the process sounded easy when reading about it, when put into actual practice, Kana was having a headache.
