"Skylar has been what?" Madison stared at me with wide-eyed astonishment. I could see it on her face as she struggled to believe the words that came out of my mouth.
I gently held her by the arms and sat her down on the couch. The Detective was hovering over my shoulder.
"Ms. Cooper, I understand how you might be feeling right now, but we need your cooperation on this," said Detective Gage.
Madison's eyes went from the detective to me. "Tell me this isn't happening."
I felt a sickening twist in my stomach. "It's true, Madison. Someone has kidnapped Rose and I will stop at nothing to find her, I swear to you but you have to tell us what you know."
A tear trickled down her panic-stricken face. "I don't know anything! Sky has no enemies. I can't think of anyone who would want to do this to her."
