I had half expected that as I would step foot inside that office building, I'd be the object of scrutiny under all eyes working there. But nothing of the sort happened.
It was the same as the day before. Like I was unnoticeable. Like I was invisible.
It was a bit sad, to be honest because before all this had happened, I would at least be looked at even if that was just by a stranger passing by my side. But now it seemed as though all these people were deliberately trying to not bat even an eyelid in my direction.
Paying no more heed to it, I headed straight for the elevator.
When I reached Jordan's office, I received a warm smile from Andrea as I did every day.
Sometimes it seemed as though Andrea used to live in a completely different world. Amidst all this madness, I had never seen her look at me the way that others in this office did. She always had a smile on her face and an air of sweet calmness around her.
