Chapter 114 - Fire

"Jordan, where are we going?" I asked again, for what must have been the 100th time since the moment I stepped inside the plane. 

We were all the way up in the sky, flying through the clouds. As I peeked outside, I could still see the glittering buildings in New York, looking like a magical land from this far up. 

The East River seemed so small, I could close it in the palm of my hand. 

"Rose, you can keep asking me that question all night and keep hearing me say the same thing over and over again. Or you can just sit back and relax until we finally reach where we are going," he said. 

A stewardess walked in through the velvet curtains with a tray in her hand. I saw a bottle of champagne and two champagne flutes on it. 

"The champagne you asked for, sir." Her cherry-tinted lips split into a smile as she placed the bottle and the flutes on the table between our seats.
