"Sky?" I heard Jeremy's voice from behind me. I turned and saw the shocked look on his face.
He obviously wasn't expecting me to be there. Behind him, I saw Lana coming out from the hallway.
As soon as my eyes set on her, everything clicked into place.
"That day when I came to your apartment," I started. "She was there, wasn't she? That's why you wouldn't let me in because she was there? It was her phone's ringtone that I heard when you sent me away."
Jeremy took a step forward. "Sky, you have to understand…"
"Understand, what?" I glared at him.
Jeremy lowered his eyes. He had nothing to say to me.
I shot my eyes towards Lana, anger blazing in my blue irises. "You're a fucking bitch."
"Excuse me?" Lana scowled. "I'll have you know that--"
"Not now, Lana!" Jeremy growled and gave her an angered look. Then he turned to me. "Sky, look, I know I messed up but--"
"Skylar, come on!" I heard Jo call me.
