Chapter 1 - 9th anniversary (8 years’ completion) of Coronation of SPH as Mahamandaleshwar of Mahanirvani Akhada

Paramaśiva, the Cosmic Source and ultimate Divinity, started the lineage of Akhāḍās (oldest and largest apex body of Hinduism with 10 million sadhus) with the ascetic warriors (Nāgā Sādhus) along with His direct disciples and descendants - called the Paramaśiva Ganas. On 12 February 2013, Tuesday, evening 4 pm, in the Sri Panchayati Akhada Mahanirvani Kumbh Mela camp, in Prayag – Allahabad, under the authority of the official leadership of the Sri Panchayati Akhada Mahanirvani - spiritual head - Sri Sri 1008 Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Vishwadevanandji Maharaj, Sri Sri 1008 Swami Sri Sukhadevanandaji Maharaj, Sri Ramata Panch Parameshwar and presence of various secretaries, The Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism (SPH), Jagatguru Mahasannidhanam, His Divine Holiness Bhagavan Nithyananda Paramashivam was coronated unanimously as the Mahamandaleshwar of the Mahanirvani Akhada, making Him also the youngest Mahamandaleshwar of the Mahanirvani Akhada as on date (35 years of age).

The Coronation is a significant Happening in the revival of KAILASA - the macrocosmic, ancient, enlightened, Hindu Civilizational Nation by SPH, as the Akhada Parishad comprising 13 Akhadas of which Mahanirvani Akhada is one, is the largest apex monastic order of Hinduism.

Although officially and ritualistically coronated on 12 February 2013, SPH was declared as the Mahamandaleshwar of Mahanirvani Akhada as early as 27 Jan 2007 (when He was 29 years of age) during the Hindu Flagship festival - the Kumbh Mela in Allahabad, and honoured with the Royal chariot of the Mahanirvani Akhada to lead the entire 13 Akhadas for the Shahi Snan (Royal Bath) procession to the sacred waters of the Triveni Sangam - the highlight ritual of the entire Kumbha Mela congregation (largest gathering of humanity on Planet Earth in the name of Faith).

We are celebrating the auspicious completion of 8 years of the official Coronation, this year on 14 Feb 2021 as per the Vedic Lunar calendar!

(Auspicious Tritiyai - third day - of Shukla paksha - the waxing moon - of the Lunar month Magha)

It is a Celebration not just amongst the Hindu Diaspora, but of the entire Global community, as it is a unique Happening that the 1008th incarnation of Paramashiva Himself, The Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism, is coronated to head the largest apex body of Hinduism through which the greater Science of Hinduism - the Science of Living Enlightenment - is imparted to the whole of humanity, thus giving the most awaited Superconscious breakthrough to it.

The Glory of Mahanirvani Akhada

The Mahanirvani Akhada is the oldest apex body of Sanatana Hindu Dharma which is governing over 10 million aghoris, sanyasis, and naga sadhus among other ancient religious orders. Akhadas represent Sanatana Dharma in their entirety by including all Hindu sects (Shaiva, Vaishnava, Brahma, Shakta), Sikhs, Jains and Buddhists. The Mahanirvani Akhada is the responsible organizing lead and sole authority of Kumbh Mela, the world's largest gathering where Hindus from around the globe travel to participate in a massive festival for showcasing and achieving spiritual feats and celebrating religious sovereignty.

Origin of Mahanirvani Akhada

Paramaśiva, the Cosmic Source and ultimate Divinity, started the lineage of Akhāḍās with the ascetic warriors (Nāgā Sādhus) along with His direct disciples and descendants - called the Paramaśiva Ganas. ( https://www.wisdomlib.org/definition/paramashiva

It is from Bhagavan Sri Paramaśiva, the Primordial Source, came forth the most ancient living lineage of ĀdiŚaiva traditions and sanyas (monkhood) called 'Akhāḍās' of ascetic warriors who defend the land and Dharma (the Cosmic law). Paramaśiva came down to the sacred city of Varanasi in North India with his empowered direct disciples (Śiva ganas) and sons Śrī Kumara and Śrī Gaṇeśa (king of Gaṇas, followers of Paramaśiva) and established the eternal unbroken spiritual flow of ascetics, forming the first Akhāḍā.

The Original Akhāḍā Structure - Kailaasa established by Paramasiva

Daksha, Son of Lord Brahma was called Daksha Prajapati as he functioned as the President of humanity during his times. He delivered the Daksha Smṛti - The Do's and Dont's - for Humanity. He organised a massive Yaga (sacrificial fire) for which he deliberately avoided calling his daughter Sati and Her Divine Consort Paramaśiva Himself. When Sati, pulled by parental bonding, went by herself to the Yaga, Daksha further insulted her in front of the entire gathering. Sati unable to withstand the insult of her own father, self-immolated herself in the sacrificial fire. News reached Paramaśiva, who invoked Vīrabhadra to slay Daksha's head.

Daksha fell low in the eyes of all after this incident. The Sapta Rishis (seven enlightened beings who are revered as patriarchs of Hinduism from yore) refused to henceforth follow Daksha Smṛti as they saw that Daksha was no more integrated to Paramaśiva, (Primordial Hindu Divinity). They requested Paramaśiva to reveal the guidelines yet again to them so they can follow. The sacred spot where Paramaśiva revealed the Agamas to them, is the Daksheshwar temple of Mayapur in Haridwar, where the Mahanirvani Peetha is headquartered. Even from during the times of Daksha, this temple was the headquarters of the Peetha.

After revealing the Agamas, Paramaśiva appointed Sage Kapila as the Head of the Mahanirvani Peetha, thus establishing the enlightenment ecosystem - Kailaasa Paramparagatha Mahanirvani Peetha Sarvajnapeetham.

Thus, Paramaśiva, the ultimate Divinity, having the Supreme Sovereignty of his cosmic kingdom, institutionalized the constitution, administration and protection for the enlightenment ecosystem on the planet by establishing the 'Akhāḍās' (traditions within Hinduism) with His direct disciples and descendants called the Paramaśiva Gaṇas and warrior ascetics (Nāgās) from Varanasi, the most ancient living city of earth. Under His divine ordainment, the enlightenment ecosystem with spiritual, religious, historical, political, economic and social legitimacy was formally established. ).

One of the main responsibilities of the Akhāḍās is teaching and transmitting the great teachings of Shāstras (revealed scriptures from Paramaśiva). Thus the ascetic monks (Nāgās) are called Shāstradharis (Shāstra - the scriptures; dharis - bearers) in Sanskrit. They also use Śastra (weapons) to protect the sacred traditions from external negative forces. Wielding of both Śāstra and Śastra - knowledge of scriptures and weapon - within the scope of the Dharma (Cosmic Law) is the main responsibility of the Akhāḍās.

Revival of Mahanirvani Akhada in 748 AD.

While the heritage of Mahanirvani Akhada is ten thousand years old, the group was formally named in 748 A .D. In 748 A.D., a group of seven sadhus of Atal Akhada performed tapas (spiritual penance) at Gangasagar.

They were graced with the darshan (Divine vision) of Sri Kapila Mahamuni. With his blessings, they revived the Naga tradition with an official name - Mahanirvani Akhada - near Neel Dhara in Haridwar . Even today, the chief Deity (Upaasyadev) of the Mahanirvani Akhada is the saint incarnation, Sri Kapila Mahamuni.

Since before 2007, Swami Vishvadevanandaji Maharaj, the predecessor of the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism as Mahamandaleshwar of Mahanirvani Akhada, has known and recognized the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism as an Incarnation of Paramashiva.

On the occasion of the Shahi Snaan during the Kumbh Mela, Vishvadevanandji Maharaj, encountered the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism as He was in the procession, and immediately garlanded Him repeatedly and offered his deepest love and gratitude at His feet.

On 22 January 2007, during the Kumbh Mela which took place in Haridwar, the ruling city of the Mahanirvani Peetham, the akhaada invited His Divine Holiness and welcomed him grandly to take the stage with Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Sri Swami Vishwadevanandaji.

Vishwadevanandaji honoured the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism by requesting him to be Mahamandaleswar. With deep gratitude and awareness of the responsibility of His role, SPH accepted. At this time He was twenty nine years old. Subsequently, Nirvani Peetadhipathi Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Sri Swami Vishwadevanandaji immediately declared Swamiji as Mahamandaleshwar from that moment. All the Mahamandaleshwars present noted that such an honor was previously offered only to Swami Vivekananda.

His Divine Holiness thus began assuming the responsibility of the diaspora of Hindus who are ruled by the Mahanirvani Peetha.
