The General in particular, was almost moved as he felt Upir's bloodlust reach a level where the creature could attack them at any moment.
Meanwhile, Upir seemed even more alive than he had been after their first attempt, with even his soul showing different signs.
Abby and Minos were pretty sure that Upir would last a few weeks even without the support of their divine ability, which was impressive.
His rationality was still there, but he surely saw them more as targets for his bloodlust than anything else.
