Chapter 78 - Sword game

In the afternoon they had more training with the same instructor, it was harsh for all younglings except Oswald who had yet to break a sweat. He pushed harder, never stopping until asked. The dozen of exercises were finished before he felt any effort was made.

In the evening, his stomach grumbled, as every soldiers'. He was noticed by everyone with his sporting feats. The hardest part was to hold back and not impress them too much. His first impression as a fighter gave him the bad guy's reputation.

Using Laurel as a way to know when to stop, he added a few repetitions to the boy's max effort before resting. Little did he know that while Laurel pushed back the limits of his body to gauge Oswald's endurance, he almost lost his marble not being able to surpass his rival in any discipline.

"Man! Your stamina is simply ridiculous!" He complained before collapsing from his push-up position.

For their first dinner in the camp, there was a speech. Everyone listened quietly.
