A few days later, Oswald knocked at Tom's door early in the morning. It was a first for the head of household to open the door to a guest. Florentino would let his maid welcome people as long as the Havent weren't in the village.

"I want to see your son." Said Oswald, he was impatient to leave the area and have some fresh air.

"Tell me something I don't know!" The man replied, eager to receive news from his business opponent.

The merchant patted Oswald's back, to the highest place he could reach without looking ridiculous. The differences in height made him more confident to let his son with his friend. In Oswald's back, plenty of villagers that followed him from Revel's entrance. They were Daniela's followers, because she was nowhere to be seen and as her rival, he was suspicious.

None dared to ask, the shepherd of their valley always had recluse behaviour, a little too aggressive for them to engage conversation.

Upstairs, Tom was waiting with a box on his bed.
