Only getting a reproachful glare in reply, Anderson pursed his lips, he tapped his foot in the dirt before saying.

"If you want to take on responsibilities, now is the time to let a little bit of knowledge enter this stubborn head of yours. I have to teach you letters, reading first. We have a little bit of paper and scroll to scribble on luckily. We have nice tools to write too, come in my private quarters, I've already settled anything."

He wasn't eager to start, but he was impatient to finish.

His demeanour was contrasting well with Oswald's. He had already planned his meeting and set up everything indeed, he was already guiding the boy to avoid wasting time.

They sat next to each other.

"So first things first, here." The colonel gave him a long feather with a sharp tip but a fluffy tail. Next was a little pot of ink, but in the scent Oswald could decipher the water from the river, filled with slimy moss and coal of course.
