First time they met, Laurel had chosen to approach Oswald because he knew people with common points often went along well. In his case, it was the eye-catching appearance they had.

Later, when he fought against him, he understood Oswald had potential, so in a pedagogic way, at least as best as he could, he helped his opponent improve. Still what he couldn't expect was having many things in common, through their evening talks and many trainings, he was delighted to feel free from his previous obligations, from the shackles that left scars on his ankles and mind.

"I'm glad of the choice you made, but I'm in dire need of sleep." After Laurel finally let go, Oswald looked around to notice he was observed as many eyes turned to avoid contact.

Before he had the time to continue reading the book, he fell asleep out of exhaustion.

Next day, he was brimming with energy. After visiting Tom, he had a talk with Ward, to explain his sudden disappearance.
