The Spiked beast Numbered at least fifteen which came out of the portal , They where like the magma beast , they stood 5 meters tall with hunched back and the face of a wolf making them seem like a Magma wolf ,They walked on two feet like a humanoid beast with tough black skin which seemed like stone , from their bodies numerous spikes came out numbering in the hundreds with two long ones on its wrist which served as a weapon ,
They ran straight towards the unorganized team pushing each other in their rush to lay waste to the puny looking creatures.
Unlike the first floor the second floor had enough space to move in ,almost like a wasteland .
"For them to be able to use portals means they have a very strong spatial type mage , he must have been the one spying on us all this while , for him to be able to hide from my senses how powerful would he be " Zatiel couldn't help but frown as he thought of this .
"Even if we survive this fight we would suffer a huge loss unless I use that spell but it will leave me low on MANA ".

The Beast wolf made a noise which sounded like two metals been scrapped on each other.
Zatiel held his sword with two hands and raised it to the sky gathering MANA into his sword .
" Thundering dragon ."
A bolt of lightning shaped like a serpentine dragon with size that dwarfed the Magma wolfs descended on the wolfs striking every wolf who was unlucky enough to be caught in the radius of the attack giving a thunderous sound and brightening the dark dungeon and momentarily stopping the charging wolf who stopped to shield their eyes from the light given the team enough time to organise themselves , but despite the strength of the attack they still didn't die , leaving the eight wolfs caught in the lightning in injured state with some of them in near death state.
" Don't panic , and stay within striking distance of each other don't let them separate you , healers and support warriors stay behind " , Avrion said organizing the team.
The Spiked beast sent spikes flying to the team cutting of some unfortunate B ranked adventurers limbs or injuring them .
The wolfs where now within ten metres from the group , The team sent out spell after spell on the charging wolfs slowing them down and managing to kill seven wolfs who where injured due to the Lightning attack of Zatiel bringing down their numbers down to eight Magma wolfs.
The A ranked adventurers where the first to come in contact with the beast and where in a head on battle with the beast .
The beast where clearly out numbered but where still had to beat , they used there spikes as an offensive and defensive weapon , using there spikes to block any incoming attack and they could also use it as a long range weapon , and no matter how many time they shot the spikes it still kept on growing back within seconds , and they where more agile than the lava beast able to dodge spells and most attack.
Slice. clank.
Vastor aimed his sword at a spiked beast head but was easily blocked by the beast who used its spike to block the attack easily stopping the attack and sending Vastor flying back .
Thud.
Vastor was sent crashing into the dungeons wall the force was enough to disrupt his balance , Vastor fell to the floor the force of the attack had momentarily paralysed him and he was now defenceless against the beast attack , the beast sent a spike towards Vastor's head aiming to cut it off.
Swooosshh.
Vastor couldn't do anything but watch as the spike came closer and closer towards him unable to do anything , Vastor closed his eyes and accepted his fate .
Clank.
But before the spike could behead him Carabao came to his rescue deflecting the spike.
" Snap out of it Vastor move your body", Carabao said .
"Wh... what am not dead " . Vastor said.
"You will if you keep sitting there ", Carabao said .
Vastor seeing the beast was about to fire another spike gathered all his strength flying out of the way of the spike.
" Thanks " Vastor said to Carabao , On closer inspection of Carabao , Vastor noticed his clothe had been thorn in a lot of places and he was bleeding out , he didn't notice before because of the lack of appropriate light In the dungeon.
"Shit what happened to you", Vastor asked .
" Don't worry about it , I have been through worse am sure I can walk out of this one alive " Carabao said.
"You need a healer if not you will bleed to death " .
" Then let's take care of this big fella and we can look for a healer " , Carabao said.
As if on cue the Beast furious that Vastor was saved jumped towards the duo .
Earth spikes.
Carabao placed his hands on the ground infusing his MANA into the rocky like dungeon floor.
Spikes made of earth sprang up from the ground the size dwarfing the two adventurers.
The Beast seeing that at the momentum it was using it is going to crash into the spike and most likely die placed its hands in front of it and sent out two spikes from its wrist colliding with the Earth spikes , it wasn't enough to fully destroy the spikes protruding from the ground but it managed to shave of a considerable amount leaving most of the spikes blunt .
Thud.
The beast crashed into the Protruding spikes injuring itself in the process , it had injuries all over its body and was trying to stand on its feet.
Scccrrrcccccc.
The Beast let out a screech , Standing up it decided no meat was worth this amount of trouble and decided to turn tail and run but Vastor and Carabao had other plans for it .
The beast who was limping was no match for the speed of Vastor .
Slice .
Vastor sliced at its legs bringing the limping beast to it's knees .
"This is for almost killing me you ugly motherfucker " Vastor said slicing the beast throat .
The beast found it hard to breathe after its wind pipe had been cut and struggled to breathe before falling to the ground.
Carabao placed a hand on Vastor's back after finally catching up to him.
"You really are a speed demon bro " Carabao said.
Unknown to them the beast wasn't actually dead but was gathering all his strength to deliver a last blow before it died, It raised up its hands sending a spike towards the duo who had their back towards him.
Swooshh.
But Carabao turned around to see the spike heading towards them .
"Shit , Vastor look out " Carabao said pushing Vastor out of the way , but he wasn't so lucky himself he was heavily wounded and couldn't find the necessary strength to jump out of the way of the attack on short notice .
Splat.
The Spike passed through his stomach coming out from his back leaving behind a gapping hole.
"Nooooo", Vastor shouted watching Carabao fall to the ground .
The beast seeing this had a evil smirk on his face before dying.
