After paying 2 silver for their one-night stay at the 'Teleportation Sorting Centre', the group moved towards the centre of the capital using a map that Bob bought from the 'Teleportation Sorting Centre'.
Ferdon, the capital of the kingdom of Pierre was unlike any other city. It was a city that put most metropolitan cities to shame. The entire city was formed around a centre palace, which was surrounded by other secondary palaces, and all together made up the royal grounds. These royal grounds took up as much space as the entire City of Bard, and then some.
Surrounding the royal grounds were the estates for the highest of nobles like dukes, followed by the manors of intermediate and lower nobles ranging from Marquesses, Earls, Counts, Viscounts, and Barons. Each of the estates were comparable to the castle within the abandoned city, while the manors were similar in size to the castle in the City of Bard. Next came the 8 teleportation arrays surrounding the nobles, followed by the House of Nobility and Justice Department which together make the laws and enforce the laws within the capital, located just to the north and south of the circle made out of teleportation arrays.
Following this was the actual city itself which was further divided into many parts depending on standard of living and income for people, from rich merchants to poor peasants.
The entire city was closed off by an incredibly tall 12-meter wall which was inscribed with strange symbols which flickered every now and then. Between the wall and the Royal grounds, a total of 12 major roads were laid out for ease of movement, which along the way branched out into all shapes and sized of smaller roads, and eventually into alleys that reached everywhere within the capital.
Daron and Bob, along with the 3 females of Zack's family, were travelling towards the centre of the outer district which mainly involved the normal citizens and merchants along with outsiders and mercenaries. This outer district was divided into 12 parts similar to the segments of a clock, with Daron and the rest being teleported into the 4 o'clock zone which had another more complicated name, but everyone just called it Outer District 4.
At the centre of each Outer district, was an information centre managed by the royal family which provides information for money. The more valuable the information, the more money was required to buy it.
"I would like to get information on the location of someone named 'Old Man Traitorous'." Bob spoke softly to the one at the other end of the counter.
The man at the other end of the counter nodded and turned around to go through some files before pulling one out and reading through it and calculating something in his mind before placing the file on the desk and replying softly,
"That will be 2 silver."
"Ack" Bob felt the pain of losing so much money for some gossip, but he grit his teach and read through the information.
...............β¦
Rumoured to be living in District 11 with the name of Zack Bard.
...............β¦
Bob's face fell even more. Not only was this information worth 2 silver only a rumour, but the rumour stated that the Old Man named Traitorous was using the false name of his master Zack!
'How dare he'
Just as Bob was about to lose control of his usually level headed temper, Daron coughed and snatch the file, reading through it before frowning. However, Daron did not show any other emotion other than that frown and just pulled Bob and the rest out of the Intelligence centre.
At the moment that Bob was going to lose his cool, Sirious had detected a Rank 6, a rank 8 and a rank 9 knight just waiting in complete silence, 10 meters from them.
Even though Sirious had spotted them, Daron himself still could still not feel their presence at all, which just showed how much stronger than himself they were, even that Rank 6 knight.
Were official knights like leaves on a tree in Ferdon? Why were they present anywhere one looked?
Daron felt like the world view that he had just acquired after working in the Bard Castle and spending time with the Rank 8 knight Bob had been shattered once more.
