Helping Craig pack for the wedding wasn't the hard part of this weekend. Oh no. The hard part was convincing Mom to let me go, now that she and dad were back home. "But Mom! Please just let me go! I haven't been able to go anywhere in ages except to Craig's when you were out of town! Please? Don't you want me to have a normal childhood?" I asked, playing on her 'baby bird leaving the nest' insecurities.
"Oh, fine Kyle. But you have to call me every three hours between the hours of 9 am and 9 pm. Got it?" She said sternly. This clearly wasn't up for debate anymore.
"Yes ma'am." I nodded in understanding, taking a nervous Craig's hand and pulling him upstairs with me to pack. "Sorry about my mom dude. She's a helicopter parent. Never lets me have any fun." I mumble once we were out of earshot and in my bedroom.
I push him down to sit on my bed while I started taking out all of the formal clothes that I owned so that he could choose a suit for me. "I think that that one will suit you the best." He said pointing to the one in the middle. Of course, he just had to choose the one with green undertones. At least it'll complement my red hair.
