After that we took the bullet train for the rest of the journey. we visited mount fuji and god knows how many others places in the past week, that I used up all of my seven 32-gb memory cards with pictures of us.
But we were finally in Kishiwada which meant I finally get to meet my "aunt", mum told me to call her my aunt cause she was my parents best friend and also is my god mother or something.
when we arrived close to her house I couldn't believe what I was seeing. there were small statues of yokai's, like there was a kapa statue in the small lily pot at the entrance and so many more hiding in the flower pots, the entirety of the house was wooden and all the pillars had engravings and on one of them there were height markers - I didn't have many marking on the walls at our house in Tokyo cause mom and dad were always busy but seeing these made these made me feel a little warm inside.
"Ah... You guys have arrived. Come.. come have a seat, I'll bring you some tea", a lady dressed in a kimono with cherry blossoms drawn on it welcomed us into her home, she had a big smile across her face and when she saw my mother she raced and hugged her. My mother is quite tall compared to this lady but when they hugged it was like my mom was a child compared to her. We quickly settled down in the hall and my mom introduced me to Ms June, the owner of the house, I greeted her and hoped to have a good relation with her. She seemed very easy going and open to talk and even though I would have loved to talk in their talks, I just felt like giving them some space and I took the opportunity when the tea in the pot had finished. "I'll go brew some more tea", I said as I speedily left the room.
"Waoh this house is sooooo big... ah there's the kitchen", I walked around the house, I might call myself out for being nosy but I had to check every cupboard, rack and bowl in the kitchen, it's the best way to get to know someone. Everything was organised and kept and clean, wow this is one beautiful kitchen, maybe I should make a small snack for them to eat with the tea but it might be rude to do something without asking... "uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... what do I do", I screamed unaware off the fact it wasn't in my head.
"hey, who's in the kitchen" a rough voice spoke, followed by a rythemic stomping of heavy boots walking up the hall, getting louder each time. Oh my lord who is that, mom told me aunt Jun didn't live with her husband so who is that walking towards the kitchen. Is it the gardener cause I don't think anyone wears such heavy boots but them.
The kitchen door slide open, I don't know why I was too scared to turn around, it's not like I'm doing something wrong. "wheeeeeiiiiiiiiii", the kettle on the stove whistled, and in a moment of panic I turned around and saw a boy around my age. *sigh* oh my heart, my poor poor heart. "Hello there", I spoke with my still shaky voice "I'm Yuno..."
The boy stared at me for a minute, like an entire minute, I could feel my sweat rolling down my forehead and then he said, "Hi Yuno, I'm Tora. Are you the kid of my moms' friends? oh and the tea is done by the way... "
"Oh, I am and yea Imma go give them the tea. Excuse me." I made yet another awkward escape.
